摘要: In a displacement system for controlled infusion of a liquid from a cartridge comprising a tubular vessel (1), which is at a rear end closed by a piston (3) which may be forced by a piston rod (8) moving into the vessel (1) in the axial direction thereof to press out the liquid through an outlet (2) arranged at a front end of the vessel (1), the piston rod (8) is provided as a flexible incompressible construction which is by a piston rod guide (9) behind the rear end of the cartridge deflected away from the axis of this cartridge, preferably 180.degree.. The piston rod guide (9) has a guiding track comprising a curved part and linear parts at each end of the curved part ensuring that the piston rod is guided along a length (a) in the direction of the axis of the cartridge which length (a) is longer than the distance (b) between the two axes of the piston rod parts projecting from the piston rod guide. The guiding track is further elaborated to the very shape which the curved part of the piston rod will spontaneously adopt when its end portions are kept parallel.

摘要: A syringe for injection of doses of a medicine from an exchangeable cartridge has a housing comprising a cartridge holder and a dosing mechanism by which a dose is set and injected by successively advancing a piston rod to press a piston into the cartridge. The dosing mechanism comprises a threaded spindle and a nut member cooperating with the spindle. A dose is set by relative rotation of the spindle and nut member whereby the nut member is moved along the spindle. The position of the nut member on the spindle defines how far the piston rod is advanced. The spindle and the nut are locked against relative rotation when the dosing mechanism is not operated to set a dose. Access to the cartridge holder is obtained by opening a lid connected to the housing and coupled to the dosing mechanism in such a way that the locking of the nut element in its position on the spindle is released when the lid is opened, and the opening movement of the lid is transmitted to a piston rod retraction mechanism.

A control circuit is adapted to determine the end of dosed state based on data from the first, the second and the third sensors (40, 50, 60). The injection device may also include an arrangement for determining fluid ingress into the interior of the injection device. The arrangement includes an electrically non-conductive surface portion (63) disposed on a first component (6) and an electrode assembly (62a, 62b, 62c) disposed on a second component (80) wherein the first component (6) and the second component (80) moves relative to each other during operation.

摘要: A dose setting device for a delivery system has a piston rod (6, 9) which successively presses a piston (2) into a cylinder ampoule (1). Doses are set by rotating a second part (9) of the piston rod (6, 9) in relation to a first part (6). The two parts are connected by mating threads so that the total length of the piston rod (6, 9) is increased proportional to the angle of rotation, and a point (18) on the second part is moved away from a stop position fixed in relation to a housing (5) The set dose is delivered when the point (18) is moved back to the stop position. The first part (6) can be axially displaced but not rotated in the housing (5), and the second part (9) can both rotate and be axially displaced. The first part (6) is maintained in abutment with the piston (2) and the second part (9) is coupled to be rotated by a dose setting wheel (20). An injection push button (10) is movable between a projecting position and a pressed home position and has elements (13) acting on the second part (9) to press this part to its stop position.

摘要: A disposable lancet combined with a reagent carrying strip which carries a reagent that indicates the concentration of a blood component in a blood sample placed in contact with the strip. The reagent carrying strip is connected to the lancet, e.g. by molding. One end of the lancet is sharpened for piercing the skin. The strip is sheet-like and has a first side and a second side, which sides are both accessible for the user, such that the reagent carrying strip can be inserted into a blood glucose meter. A weakened tear line is provided at a connection between the lancet and an edge of the reagent carrying strip so that the reagent carrying strip may be easily disconnected from the lancet.

摘要: The invention relates to: A portable medication delivery device (1) comprising a medication cartridge (11) having an outlet (111) and a movable piston (112), and a housing (12) for holding said cartridge, and a flexible piston rod (13) being operable to engage and displace said piston along an axis (113) of said cartridge, and guiding means (14) for bending said piston rod away from said axis, and actuating means (15), and driving means (16, 17) for transferring movement from said actuating means to said piston rod, said driving means including a driving wheel (17) for displacing the piston rod (13), said flexible piston rod comprising regularly spaced first members (330; 331; 332) adapted to mechanically cooperate with corresponding second members (171) on said driving wheel. The object of the present invention is to provide a medication delivery system that combines compactness with an improved accuracy. The problem is solved in that said flexible piston rod (13) exhibits a linear or approximately linear path between said driving wheel (17) and said piston (112). This has the advantage of yielding a compact, low-weight device with an improved dose accuracy. The invention may e.g. be used in injection or infusion devices for a person's self-treatment of a disease such as diabetes.
