    摘要: The present invention teaches a lockable lampholder mounting system wherein a housing containing electrical contacts, such as an electrical wiring device of the type exemplified by an incandescent lampholder or socket, is removably mounted upon a preselected panel by means of a novel clip arrangement. The panel is of the type utilized in a fixture, for example. The clip arrangement includes a resilient clip of predetermined shape formed with at least three bearing surfaces for contacting the panel, and preferably a fourth bearing surface against which a locking tab is biased to prevent rotation and relatively upward movement of the wiring device.

    摘要: A lighting fixture composed of a lampholder which can receive an electrical lamp and supply to it AC power and a body member into which the lampholder can be placed for support and protection. A locking member in the form of a flat, resilient metallic band with end portions bent at an acute angle provides a one-way clutch which permits the lampholder to be placed into the body member but prevents its withdrawal. Channels in the interior wall of the body receive the band ends to prevent rotation of the lampholder. The channels are employed in pairs and a single pair or two pairs at right angles to each other are employed.

    摘要: A surveillance system is provided for surveillance of objects within a secure area. A surveillance sensor transmits surveillance signals to all objects within the secure area, the reflections of which are received back by the surveillance sensor to determine the locations of objects, and communicates the determined locations to a pressing facility. Objects authorized to be in the secure area are equipped with an Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) unit that includes a GPS receiver and a data communication transmitter. In response to predetermined conditions, the IFF units broadcast their position and identification to the processing facility for correlation with locations defined by the reflection signals. The reflection signals from other objects are compared with a list of the locations of objects, such as terrain features and man-made facilities, that are known to be in the secure area If no broadcast information is received from an object and the location of that object determined by the reflection signal cannot be correlated with the known object list; than the object has no proper authorization to be within the secure area, and an alarm is generated.

    摘要: Improved method for the pick up and delivery of a liquid test sample and diluent therefore by a single syringe having a syringe valve for placing the syringe barrel in fluid connection with either a diluent pick up line or a sample pick-up line. The method is comprised essentially of the steps of priming the apparatus, picking up the diluent through the diluent pick-up line and thereafter with a continuing downward stroke of the syringe plunger picking up a percentage volume of liquid sample. Preferably, an air bubble is picked up in the end of the sample pick-up line before the sample pick-up cycle. After the full downward stroke of the syringe plunger, the diluted sample is delivered by depressing the plunger to its zero volume setting.An apparatus is provided having a computer controlled syringe plunger drive which includes a zero volume switch, and a computer controlled syringe valve having branch ports adapted to be connected to a diluent and a sample pick-up line. The computer control sequences the plunger drive and the syringe valve to pick-up diluent and sample and deliver diluent and sample as above-described.
