The transceiver also includes a controllable coupling device configured to couple an output of the first receive amplifier to an input of the frequency conversion device on the second signal path, and a control circuit configured to provide a control signal to the coupling device for selectively combining signals delivered by the first and second receive amplifiers in the correct phase based on a parameter which is derived from a signal present at the first connection or second connection, or both. The parameter derived from the received signal represents whether a signal strength of the received signal or a signal quality of the received signal exceeds a first predetermined threshold.

A controllable coupling device is configured to couple an output of the first receive amplifier to an input of the frequency conversion device on the second signal path. Furthermore, the transceiver arrangement includes a control circuit configured to deliver a control signal to the coupling device for combining signals delivered by the first and second receive amplifier in the correct phase based on a signal supplied by the receive paths. This achieves receive diversity wherein, on the one hand, additional external components are no longer necessary and, on the other hand, adequate signal quality is ensured even with a simultaneous transmit process of the transceiver arrangement.

    摘要: A transmission arrangement is provided for transmitting data continuously in the time domain. The arrangement includes at least one programmable amplifier in the baseband or in the radio frequency path in the signal processing chain for the signal which is to be transmitted. This programmable amplifier is distinguished in that the signal which actuates the programmable amplifier is a discrete-value signal. By dispensing with complex digital/analog converters, the principle described allows markedly reduced power consumption in transmitters which use code multiple access methods.

    摘要: An amplifier circuit is disclosed in which a first amplifier stage and at least one second amplifier stage are each arranged between a signal input and a signal output. These amplifier stages are designed with a first gain factor and with a switching input. The amplifier circuit also has a third amplifier stage with a second gain factor, which is arranged between the signal input and the signal output. A control circuit is coupled to each amplifier stage for gain adjustment. The control circuit has a first control block designed for single-ended signal processing, and a second control block designed for push-pull signal processing. It is designed to supply control signals from the first control block to the amplifier stage when the gain of the first and at least one second amplifier stage is varied, and to supply control signals from the second control block to all of the amplifier stages when the gain of the at least one third amplifier stage is varied.
