A pin (30) or (34) is carried by one of the tray (17) and lid (18) to project towards the other of the tray and lid. The pin (30) is configured to trap the blister pack thereon, between the tray (17) and a broken-away part (29) of the lid (18), whereas pin (34) has one or more barbs (35) to retain the blister pack thereon. When a blister pack (15) has been pushed on to the pin (30) or (34), removal of the pack from the packaging is resisted.

    摘要： A connector assembly provided for efficient flow of liquid into and/or out of a vial, such as a vial containing a lyophilized drug. The connector assembly features a collar mountable to the rim of the vial in a locked position and thereafter removable by an end-user when disposal of the device is desired. A protective cap mountable over the collar includes an annulus-type ring at its proximal end which mounts over locking structure associated with the collar. The ring is secured to the protective cap via one or more user-severable connections. As the cap is urged proximally, the ring places the collar in the locked position with the vial rim, exerting an inwardly-directed force onto the locking structure to secure the collar to the vial rim. The cap can be separated from the ring at its user-severable connections, and the device used in its ordinary matter. When disposal is desired, the ring may be urged proximally out of engagement with the locking structure of the collar. The collar may thereafter be removed from the vial to facilitate separate disposal of those components.

    摘要： A device for automatically injecting a material into the body is disclosed. The device includes a drive assembly and a syringe assembly which is mounted to the drive assembly. The drive assembly includes a drive rod, a driver releasably coupled to the drive rod, and a constant force spring which urges the drive rod towards the syringe assembly. The spring first urges the coupled drive rod and driver along the axis of the device, causing the skin to be penetrated by the needle of the syringe assembly. The drive rod is then decoupled from the driver. The spring continues to urge the drive rod in the axial direction, whereby the drive rod engages a piston in the syringe assembly and causes the displacement of the material therein.

In an alternative form the hand hole is not necessarily inwardly closed, but the securing member is locked in position.
