摘要： An aqueous metal cleaning composition is provided which comprises an alkalinity providing agent such as alkali metal carbonate and/or bicarbonate salts and a low foaming surfactant. The aqueous cleaning solution has specific foam height and foam collapse characteristics, and provides for substantially complete phase separation of a contaminant phase from the aqueous cleaning composition such that there is substantially no aqueous phase drag out into the contaminant phase; and the contaminant phase can be removed easily, and the aqueous cleaning solution can be recovered and reused.

摘要： An aqueous metal cleaning composition is provided which comprises an alkalinity providing agent such as alkali metal carbonate and/or bicarbonate salts and a low foaming surfactant. 摘要： An alkaline, aqueous metal-cleaning composition capable of effectively removing industrial-type soil contaminants from a metal surface at temperatures as low as ambient temperature and in the absence of substantial agitation contains (A) an active-ingredient portion containing (1) an alkalinity-providing component, and (2) a surfactant mixture containing: (a) at least one first non-ionic, ethoxylated linear primary alcohol surfactant having a hydrophobic carbon chain length of from 9 to 11 carbon atoms and being ethoxylated with (i) an average of 2.5 moles of ethylene oxide or (ii) an average of 5.0 moles of ethylene oxide; and (b) at least one second non-ionic, ethoxylated linear primary alcohol surfactant having a hydrophobic carbon chain length of from 9 to 11 carbon atoms and being ethoxylated with an average of 6.0 moles of ethylene oxide; and (B) an aqueous portion.

摘要： Prevention of flash rusting of iron-containing substrates is achieved by contacting the substrates with aqueous solutions containing carbonate and/or bicarbonate salts. The treatment process can be effected during cleaning of the substrates with an aqueous alkaline cleaner or during a post cleaning step such as during rinsing of the substrates subsequent to cleaning.

摘要： This invention provides a control release formulation or rumen-bypass dietary supplement in compacted form. The formulation or supplement has the capability to transport fatty acid calcium salt and between about 1-75 percent of one or more rumen-protected undegraded biologically active agents to the post-ruminal digestive system of a ruminant. A feedstock containing the formulation or supplement for ruminants beneficially improves feed efficiency and body growth. The feedstock also is adapted to improve the lactational performance of dairy cattle.

摘要： A non-bleaching cleaning composition, e.g. laundry detergent, wherein the solids content comprises at least about 70 wt. % of sodium carbonate, and up to about 12 wt. % of elemental magnesium in the form of a water soluble salt, e.g., magnesium sulfate or magnesium chloride, based on the total weight of the solids composition. Preferably the composition also contains an active surfactant and, when used as a laundry detergent, a polymeric polycarboxylate, e.g., an acrylic acid polymer. Incorporation of magnesium ions in the foregoing cleaning composition containing carbonate ions is intended to minimize negative interactions that will occur between the precipitation of calcium carbonate and the substrate being cleaned, e.g., fabric encrustation when the composition is used as a laundry detergent.

摘要： A composition and method for cleaning metal and for inhibiting corrosion of metal. The composition is composed of an alkaline metal salt, a surfactant, and a corrosion inhibitor with a pH in the range from about 7.5 to less than 10, and is preferably silicate free. The corrosion inhibitor is provided in the form of a combination of a triazole compound and an alkali metal borate. The composition can be employed to clean metal surfaces as an aqueous concentrate or aqueous solution.
