摘要: An improved apparatus and method for measuring the concentration of carbon dioxide in respiratory gases. The apparatus is a non-dispersive gas analyzer attached in series with the respiratory airway which is universally compatible with any host system. The analyzer includes a housing which supports a sample cell containing the respiratory gases, and which contains an infrared radiation source encased in shock absorbing material, means for directing the radiation into a collimated beam path through the sample cell, means for splitting the beam path and directing it towards a pair of infrared detectors for measuring the amount of absorption of carbon dioxide in the sample cell. The analyzer is further improved by the use of two heating servos, one for regulating the temperature of the sample cell windows in order to inhibit condensation build-up and one for regulating the ambient temperature surrounding the detectors so as to ensure more accurate measurements. Calibration means is included within the analyzer housing for storing and providing information characterizing performance parameters of the analyzer.

摘要: Incremental query results and confidence interval values associated with respective incremental query results may be obtained. Visualization shape objects indicating uncertainty values may be determined, based on mapping values of respective incremental query results and confidence interval values to points in the associated visualization shape objects, the uncertainty values visualized based on proportional shapes of the visualization shape objects. At least one visualization comparison object representing a comparison of a plurality of distributions associated with the obtained incremental query results and confidence interval values may be determined. Display of the plurality of visualization shape objects and the at least one visualization comparison object may be initiated.

摘要: A method for managing treatment of a particular health condition afflicting a patient through the use of a mobile phone device which includes a health management program stored in the mobile phone device that prompts a user for entry of health condition data, including patient physiological data, subjective patient health condition data, and medication delivery data, compiles the health condition data into an accumulated data summary, and transmits the data summary from the mobile phone device to a second processing unit through a communication port. A drop-down list related to subjective symptoms is provided, which includes stress and depression. A touch screen is provided for a graphical user interface. The health management program also provides prompts for the entry of diet data, and further displays drop-down lists related to daily activities and alerts for medication delivery.

摘要: Techniques are described for rendering annotations associated with an image. A view of an image maybe shown on a display, and different portions of the image are displayed and undisplayed in the view according to panning and/or zooming of the image within the view. The image may have annotations. An annotation may have a location in the image and may have associated renderable media. The location of the annotation relative to the view may change according to the panning and/or zooming. A strength of the annotation may be computed, the strength changing based the panning and/or zooming of the image. The media may be rendered according to the strength. Whether to render the media may be determined by comparing the strength to a threshold.

摘要: A system and method are disclosed for providing program criteria representing a plurality of audio and/or visual programs. A plurality of tokens are stored in a database of one or more computers, each token having an identifier for identifying a predetermined audio and/or visual program. Each token may be a universal program identifier that represents a specific program in a global programming environment (e.g., the token may identify a program across multiple tuning spaces). Alternatively or additionally, a token may be a tuning-space specific program identifier that represents program criteria associated with a specific program for particular tuning space. The server is programmed to provide at least one token to a remote computer based on selection criteria.
