    摘要： There is provided an aqueous liquid domestic composition comprising (i) one or more active component selected from the group consisting of (A) 3% to 50% by weight, based on the total solids weight of said domestic composition, one or more softening agent, (B) 2% to 90% by weight, based on the total solids weight of said domestic composition, one or more anionic surfactant, and (C) a mixture consisting of (I) 1% to 25% by weight, based on the total solids weight of said domestic composition, one or more softening agent, and (II) 5% to 75% by weight, based on the total solids weight of said domestic composition, one or more anionic surfactant, and (D) 0.1% to 30% by weight, based on the total solids weight of said domestic composition, one or more amphoteric compound; and(ii) one or more cationic polymer latex comprising (I) 0.5% to 6% by weight, based on the dry weight of said polymer, one or more cationic monomer, (II) 30% to 99.5 by weight, based on the dry weight of said polymer, polymerized units of one or more aromatic monomer, (III) optionally, polymerized units of one or more additional monomer. Also provided is a method of treating paper with such cationic polymer latices.

    摘要： Aqueous compositions having enhanced thickening properties containing lipophilically-modified copolymer thickeners and one or more hydrophilic surfactants are disclosed. In particular, aqueous compositions containing (i) lipophilically-modified copolymers containing at least 5% of selected lipophilically-modified components and (ii) surfactants having an HLB value of greater than 15 are useful for the thickening of a range of personal, domestic and industrial products.

    摘要： The invention provides a method of inhibiting the formation of stable water in oil emulsions which are typically formed during the production of crude oil. The method involves the addition of one or more amphiphilic compounds which may comprise a hydrophilic backbone and hydrophobic groups attached thereto. The hydrophilic backbone may comprise polymerised units of one or more monomer compounds which may be selected from one or more of alkylene oxide, (meth)acrylic acid, acrylate, urethane, cellulose and vinyl alcohol. The hydrophobic groups may be attached to the hydrophilic backbone in one or more of the following positions: at one or more of the ends of the backbone, either regularly or randomly spaced along the length of the backbone, and as linking groups to link two or more portions of the hydrophilic backbone together.
