    摘要: A glass-sealed electrical fitting for an automotive fuel tank is mounted on a flange which supports an internal fuel pump and fuel level sensor within the fuel tank. In one form, the glass seal surrounds a plurality of pins longitudinally disposed within an elongated housing which penetrates a fuel tank wall. An outer surface of the housing engages rigidly to the flange, and an inner surface of the housing engages to the glass seal. In another form each pin is sealed to a housing by a separate glass seal.

    摘要: A fuel delivery system including a fuel tank having multiple sections. A fuel pump is disposed in a first section with an inlet for drawing liquid fuel from the first section and an outlet for supplying the fuel to an engine and to a pick-up disposed in the second section. A siphon line is connected to the pick-up at one end and terminates in the first section at another end. A fuel inlet of the pickup communicates with the siphon line through a valve member that is actuated to open and closed positions. In operation, the fuel pump provides a flow of liquid fuel to the pick-up to purge and prime the siphon line which normally maintains a substantially equal liquid fuel level in the first and second sections of the fuel tank. In some conditions, the valve closes to prevent reverse flow of fuel from the first section to the second section of the tank.

The second strap may be made from a shape retaining material for forming a generally elongated C shape such that the rear surface of the main housing is on an interior of the C shape. The wrist-worn phone may include an ear latch for hanging the main housing upon a human ear. A body-worn data storage device may include a plug mounted onto a strap of the device for insertion into a port of a computing device.

    摘要: This invention provides a low profile fuel tank assembly having an elongated fuel delivery module mounted horizontally within the fuel tank and independent from a flange which covers a sole fuel tank access hole. An integrated fuel pump and associated motor of the module dictates the length of the module. The motor and pump has a rotational axis preferably disposed substantially horizontal within the fuel tank. Because the fuel delivery module is supported by the fuel tank shell or bottom, independent of the flange, the access hole can be located anywhere on the fuel tank in order to simplify fuel tank ingress and minimize repair procedures. During assembly, the module is inserted into the fuel tank through the access hole, and is then placed and snap-locked preferably into a bracket structure permanently engaged to an inside surface of the fuel tank.
