摘要： A display panel includes an array substrate, an opposite substrate facing the array substrate, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the array and opposite substrates. The array substrate includes a gate wiring, a data wiring, a pixel section, a sensor wiring section, a sensor electrode section and a sensor pad section. The gate wiring is formed in a first direction. The data wiring is formed in a second direction crossing the first direction. The pixel section is electrically connected to the gate and data wirings. The sensor wiring section is spaced apart from the gate and data wirings. The sensor electrode section is electrically connected to the sensor wiring section. The sensor pad section applies a test voltage to the sensor wiring section in order to inspect a display panel defect. Therefore, a short defect, which is generated between the array substrate and the opposite substrate, may be easily inspected.

摘要： In a touch panel and a display apparatus having the touch panel, the touch panel includes a plurality of sensor lines, a plurality of sensor switches, a line selecting unit and a sensor resistor section. The sensor switches are electrically connected to the sensor lines, respectively, and apply sensing signals to the sensor lines, respectively, when a touch event occurs. The line selecting unit is electrically connected to end portions of the sensor lines and sequentially outputs the sensing signals transferred through the sensor lines. The sensor resistor section includes a first end electrically connected to the sensor lines, respectively, and a second end opposite to the first end. The second end receives a driving direct current (DC) voltage. Therefore, the touch panel may have an improved ability to detect touch events.

In the LCD, a predetermined portion of the drain electrodes is overlapped with only one of two adjacent pixel electrodes if the polarities of the adjacent pixel electrodes are different, and the predetermined portion of the drain electrodes is overlapped with both of the adjacent pixel electrodes if the polarities are the same.
