摘要: An optical amplifier of a wavelength-division multiplexing transmission system that includes a pre-stage optical amplifying unit and a post stage optical amplifying unit. The pre-stage optical amplifying unit has a rare-earth element doped optical fiber and a pump light source for inputting a pump light to the rare-earth element doped optical fiber. The post-stage optical amplifying unit has a second rare-earth element doped optical fiber and a pump light source for inputting a pump light to the second rare-earth element doped optical fiber. The pre-stage optical amplifying unit and the post-stage optical amplifying unit are optically connected by a detachable optical coupling device. In addition, a gain equalizing unit, positioned on an output side of the optical fibers, compensates for wavelength-dependency of a gain characteristic of the optical fibers.

摘要: Disclosed herein is an optical amplifier including an optical amplifying medium, a pumping source, an optical filter, and a control unit. Signal light is supplied to the optical amplifying medium. The pumping source supplies pump light to the optical amplifying medium so that the optical amplifying medium provides a gain band including the wavelength of the signal light. The optical filter is optically connected between the optical amplifying medium and the pumping source, and has wavelength selectivity depending upon temperature. The control unit controls the temperature of the optical filter according to a control signal given to the control unit. The wavelength characteristic of gain in the gain band provided by the optical amplifying medium changes according to the power of the signal light and the power and center wavelength of the pump light. When the temperature of the optical filter changes, the wavelength selectivity of the optical filter changes, so that the center wavelength of the pump light changes. Accordingly, the gain tilt of the optical amplifier can be adjusted.

摘要: A wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) optical signal amplifier which amplifies optical signals having different wavelengths with minimized deviations in their respective output power levels, while maintaining the total optical output at a constant power level. An optical splitter, disposed at the output of the amplifier, splits off a fraction of the amplified WDM optical output signal for feedback purposes. This WDM optical feedback signal is subjected to a wavelength division demultiplexer, where the optical components contained in the signal are demultiplexed into separate optical feedback signals each having a different wavelength. A plurality of optical power level detectors detect the optical power levels of the individual optical feedback signals. Based on the detected optical power levels, a controller adjusts the individual output power levels of the plurality of electrical-to-optical converters, so that the optical power levels detected by the optical power level detectors will coincide with each other.

摘要: A medical port includes a disc-shaped valve 1 in which an insertion hole is formed in a central portion 1a, a base seat 7 that supports the valve from a lower surface side, and a cover 2 that has a fitting hole exposing an upper surface of the central portion of the valve and covers at least a peripheral edge of the valve from the upper surface side, the fitting hole being formed so that when an inserting body has been inserted into the insertion hole, a fit between the inserting body and the fitting hole can cause the inserting body to be locked against the cover. An annular protrusion 1d is formed in the valve 1, the annular protrusion being continuous in the circumferential direction, and formed in the valve 1 so that in the state in which the inserting body is locked against the cover, the annular protrusion is in contact with an outer circumferential surface of a leading end portion of the inserting body.

摘要: A male member (1) includes a tubular member (10) and a cover (20) covering at least a tip (11) of the tubular member. A lateral hole (14) that communicates with a flow path (13) is formed in an outer peripheral surface of the tubular member. The cover includes an outer peripheral wall (21) that can be deformed elastically by compression and a head part (23) that is provided at one end of the outer peripheral wall. The head part includes an interior cavity (24) into which the tubular member is inserted, and a slit (25) is formed in an innermost part (24a) of the interior cavity. In a state where the outer peripheral wall is not deformed by compression, an inner peripheral surface of the interior cavity contacts closely with the outer peripheral surface of the tubular member so as to block the lateral hole, and the tip of the tubular member and the innermost part of the interior cavity are spaced apart from each other. Thereby, it is possible to reduce an amount of a liquid substance adhering to outer surfaces of the cover and a female member after separation from the female member.

摘要: A mixed injection port capable of suppressing the continuous accumulation of medical fluid or blood therein and allowing efficient internal cleaning, wherein a recirculation part (140) is formed at a step between an inner cavity (114) and a thin tube part (117). Even if the fluid is accumulated in a clearance area (1141) produced in the inner cavity (114) when a lure is inserted into a slit (131), the fluid can be securely replaced with the fluid newly flowing therein through a septum (130) and the continuous accumulation of the fluid can be suppressed. A more efficient internal cleaning can be realized by installing a fluid accumulation prevention part such as an annular rib between the septum (130) and the inside wall of the inner cavity (114) and burying the clearance area (1141).

摘要: The present invention aims at offering: a syringe connectable to a port in a fixed manner as well as capable of demonstrating high operational performance even in the case of direct connection where a connector is not used; a connector used for the syringe; and a syringe able to attach the connector thereto. For the attainment of the above objectives, the medical syringe of the present invention is a medical syringe including a cyrindrical connection supporting member which enhances the holding force of a luer part inserted into a port when the medical syringe is connected to the port. The connection supporting member is set by sliding along the luer or a syringe body in a state of being movable between a first position near a tip of the luer and a second position away from the tip of the luer. The medical syringe is characterized in that, when the connection supporting member is moved to the second position, the tip of the luer part is exposed.

摘要: The present invention provides a communication member for a medical container capable of allowing communication between the inside and the outside of a container body containing a liquid in a state of being fixed to the container body. The communication member includes: a valve 2 having an insertion hole 2a; a tubular body 3 supporting the valve 2; and a closing film 4 for closing a bore of the tubular body 3 in the bore and in the vicinity of the valve 2. The tubular body 3 and the closing film 4 are molded integrally. A groove 4a that passes through the center of the closing film 4 is formed on either a surface of the closing film 4 on the valve 2 side or a surface opposite to the valve side. A pair of ribs 4b are formed on a surface opposite to a surface of the closing film 4 on which the groove is formed, and one of the pair of ribs is formed on one of the two areas that are divided by a straight line whose longitudinal direction is the same as that of the groove and that passes through the center of the closing film, and the other rib is formed on the other area.
