    摘要： A method of determining the physiological reactivity of an individual with respect to images, comprising: measuring at least one physiological parameter of an individual during a baseline calm period of time; measuring the said at least one physiological parameter of said individual during a stress period of time and a succeeding rest period of time; dividing said measured data for each of said periods of time into a plurality of predetermined time segments; computing a histogram or Fourier analysis as appropriate on said predetermined time segments for each said period of time; standardizing said computed data; conducting a principal component analysis, a canonical discriminant analysis, or a neural network, on said data to establish a baseline calm or rest period set of scores and a stress period set of scores; measuring the said at least one physiological parameter of said individual during an image presentation period of time; repeating said time segmenting, said histogram or Fourier analysis, and said standardizing steps on said measured physiological data for said image presentation period of time; applying said vectors from said conducting step to said image data to produce an image set of scores which are compared with said baseline and stress sets of scores; and determining whether said presented image is activating, deactivating, or neutral based on said comparison.

    摘要： A system which includes an apparatus and method of managing a psychological and physiological state of that individual involves the use of images or stimuli, the measurement of a physiological state of the individual, and the creation of a personalized preferred response profile which is specifically tailored to the individual. With the apparatus and method of the present invention, it is possible for an individual to manage and thereby lower his or her stress by viewing, for example, images which are selected based on the created personalized preferred response profile for the individual. The personalized preferred response profile is created by having the individual view, for example, a wide variety of images and creating the profile based on those images which provide a preferred response to the individual. The system supports and enhances existing biofeedback equipment.

    摘要： Image-based products are obtained from a digital motion picture source by utilizing a content playing and display system for (a) displaying a sequence of motion picture image frames from a digital motion picture image source containing motion picture contents, and (b) selecting one or more of the image frames for an image-based product and obtaining a unique frame identification for said one or more selected frames; a content management system that (a) utilizes the unique frame identification and determines whether at least one permissible image-based product can be made from said one or more selected frames, and (b), if a permissible image-based product may be made as determined, obtains file data corresponding to said one or more selected frames from a digital source file containing source information corresponding to the motion picture contents; an order management system for preparing order information for the permissible image-based product from the file data; and an order fulfillment system for generating the image-based product from the file data according to the order information.

    摘要： A multiwavelength upconversion waveguide laser producing visible or ultraviolet wavelength radiation comprising a semiconductor laser diode producing relatively long wavelength radiation, a channel waveguide having a thin film material which converts the relatively long wavelength radiation into visible or ultraviolet wavelength radiation, and a optical resonator which recirculates the visible or ultraviolet wavelength radiation. The optical resonator may use an output optical coating or one or more Bragg grating reflectors as an output coupler. One or more optical resonators may be used to produce one or more visible or ultraviolet radiation wavelengths. One or more independently controllable lightwave modulators are used to modulate the visible or ultraviolet wavelength radiation.
