    Abstract: A liquid crystal, particularly a ferroelectric liquid crystal, is interposed between an electroconductive member and an electric charge accepting member to form a liquid crystal device.     Abstract: A novel image recording system using particulate developer. The particulate developer is accumulated in a container. A developer carrying member is disposed movably in contact with the accumulated developer. At the position where the particulate developer is to be flowed out from the container onto the carrying member there is provided a gate member. An important feature of the invention resides in the function of this gate member. To the gate member is given an action force which normally intends to block the flow of the developer from the container to the carrying member. Only when a record of image is formed, the developer is imagewisely put on the carrying member against the blocking force thereby forming a recorded image on the carrying member at the downstream side of the gate member.
