Abstract: A wireless communication network wirelessly receives a slice indicator from a wireless communication device. The wireless communication network selects an Artificial Intelligence (AI) engine based on the slice indicator. The wireless communication network may select the AI engine by selecting a wireless network slice that comprises the AI engine based on the slice indicator. The wireless communication network wirelessly receives user data from the wireless communication device for the wireless network slice. The wireless communication network transfers the user data to the selected AI engine. The selected AI engine generates an AI output based on the user data.

Abstract: A wireless communication network comprises distributed ledgers that host network attributes that have data values that characterize wireless data services. Directory circuitry stores ledger information that characterizes the distributed ledgers and the network attributes. Network circuitry delivers the wireless data services to wireless User Equipment (UEs). The network circuitry generates and stores the data values and their network attributes in the distributed ledgers. The directory circuitry receives a directory information request and selects a portion of the ledger information that characterizes the distributed ledgers and the network attributes based on the directory information request. The network circuitry receives a ledger information request responsive to the selected portion of the ledger information. The network circuitry selects and transfers a portion of the network attributes and the related data values based on the ledger information request.

Abstract: A wireless communication network enforces a user policy for a User Equipment (UE) and directs another wireless communication network to enforce another user policy for another UE. In the wireless communication network, an Application Function (AF) receives the user policy from another AF in the other wireless communication network and transfers the user policy to the PCF. The PCF distributes the user policy to a Network Function (NF). The NF enforces the user policy. The PCF identifies the other user policy for the other UE and transfers the other user policy to the AF. The AF responsively transfers the other user policy to the other AF. The other AF transfers the other user policy to another PCF in the other wireless communication network. The other PCF distributes the other user policy to another NF in the other wireless communication network which enforces the other user policy.

Abstract: A wireless network control system facilitates a handover of User Equipment (UE) from a source network slice to a target network slice. The source slice delivers an internet-access service to the UE using a Quality-of-Service level and access restrictions. The UE detects a handover trigger and exchanges handover signaling with the source network slice. A hardware-trust controller verifies a hardware identification code embedded in the UE responsive to the handover signaling. A distributed ledger generates a slice template to implement the QoS and access restrictions for the UE in the target network slice in response to the handover signaling and the hardware-trust verification. The signaling circuitry transfers the slice template to the target slice. The target slice delivers internet-access service to the UE using the QoS and the restrictions in response to the slice template.

Abstract: A wireless communication network serves a User Equipment (UE) over multiple User Plane Function Groups (UPFGs). In the wireless communication network, a Session Management Function (SMF) receives UPFG performance metrics from the wireless communication network. The SMF identifies a Packet Data Flow Group (PDFG) for the UE. The SMF responsively selects one of the UPFGs for the PDFG based on the UPFG performance metrics. The selected UPFG comprises at least three User Plane Functions (UPFs) and the PDFG comprises at least two Packet Data Flows (PDFs). The SMF transfers network signaling to the selected UPFG to deliver the PDFG to the UE. The selected UPFG receives the network signaling and responsively exchanges user data for the UE to deliver the PDFG.

Abstract: In a wireless communication network, a provisioning system transfers a Session Management Function (SMF) Application Programming Interface (API) call for a User Plane Function (UPF) metric to an SMF. The SMF transfers a UPF API call for the UPF metric to the UPF over signaling. The UPF transfers a UPF API response indicating the UPF metric to the SMF over signaling. The SMF transfers an SMF API response indicating the UPF metric to the provisioning system. The provisioning system may obtain UE metrics through the SMF or an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) in a like manner. The provisioning system may obtain Radio Access Network (RAN) metrics through the SMF or AMF in a like manner.
