Abstract: The disclosed system obtains an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) range of multiple UEs operating on a first network. The system obtains a subscription profile and authentication credentials of a UE among the multiple UEs. The system stores the IMSI range, a first subscription profile, and the authentication credentials in a second database of a second network. The second network provides connectivity to the UE when the UE is outside the limited geographical range of the first network. The system receives a request from the UE to connect to the second network when the UE is outside the limited geographical range. The system reduces network traffic by authenticating the UE using the authentication credentials stored in the second database and determining that the service is authorized to be provided to the UE based on the subscription profile stored in the second database without communicating with the first network. Upon authenticating the UE, the system provides the service to the UE.

Abstract: A mobile device, via a roaming platform, can switch IMSIs (e.g., Home IMSI-1, Roamer IMSI-2, etc.) depending on a location of the mobile device. Upon switching IMSIs, the roaming platform can forward the update location to an HLR of the home network and roaming network. If the MMSC on the home network receives an MMS message, the MMSC on the home network may query the HLR for a current location. From the query, if the message recipient is roaming, the MMSC on the home network may communicate with the MMSC on the roaming network to deliver the message. As a result, the roaming network can handle the routing of the message without a data session routed back through the home network.

Abstract: Systems and methods discussed herein are directed to managing customer Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) and embedded SIM (eSIM) profiles and allocated Mobile Station International Subscriber Directory Numbers (MSISDN) for connected devices, e.g., cars, in different use-cases. For example, in configurations, users may have a primary electronic device, e.g., a mobile phone having a primary MSISDNPRIMARY that is instantiated on a primary Integrated Circuit Card Identifier (ICCID), ICCIDPRIMARY in the billing system of a wireless communication network. When the user has a secondary device paired with the mobile phone, that secondary device may have a secondary MSISDNSECONDARY that is activated with a secondary ICCIDSECONDARY in the billing system. Thus, the secondary device may be used by the user in conjunction with the primary device and is paired with the primary device such that incoming calls are forked to both the primary device and the secondary device.

Abstract: An eSIM management framework can serve as an abstraction layer between various partners, mobile network operators, mobile-virtual network operators, and/or enterprises and SIM or eSIM vendors. The eSIM management framework can facilitate real-time SIM and/or eSIM profile provisioning to reduce consumption of network resources. In some examples, an eSIM management framework can facilitate just-in-time client-side provisioning, which can include on-demand generation of an appropriate SIM or eSIM profile.

Abstract: Provisioning access to an alternative service provider to a device via e-subscriber identity module (SIM) profile management is described herein. A service provider can determine that a device associated with the service provider is located outside of a home coverage area of the service provider and is not transmitting data via data session(s) established in association with the service provider and send, to the device, a notification including an access mechanism for enabling access to service(s) offered by an alternative service provider. The device can receive the notification from the server(s), determine actuation of the access mechanism, and send, to the alternative service provider, a request for access to the service(s) offered by the alternative service provider. The device can receive an eSIM profile from the alternative service provider, which it can install on the device to enable the device to access the service(s) offered by the alternative service provider.

Abstract: Systems and methods for extending and re-using an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) to extend the trust relationship from a closed group of customers of wireless service providers to users of other ecosystems (e.g., Gmail, Facebook, or Yahoo!) for IMS services. Some embodiments include receiving a request from an initiating device to establish a service connection between the initiating device and an endpoint through an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) session. The request may include third-party domain credentials (e.g., maintained by a third-party domain) associated with an end-user. The third-party domain credentials can be extracted from the request. Communications with the third-party domain can be used to verify the third-party domain credentials. The IMS session can be established between the initiating device and the endpoint upon verification of the third-party domain credentials.

Abstract: This disclosure is directed at least partly to routing calls and/or other communications from a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) that uses a Mobile Network Operator (MNO) as a transit network. The MVNOs may desire to use the MNO's network as a transit network to complete or terminate calls from users who may be roaming and/or are on other access networks such as Wi-Fi. The MNO may implement logic to determine whether to allow the MNO's network to be used as a transit network based at least in part on conditions such as one or more of agreements with an MVNO, business considerations, and/or other considerations (e.g., network bandwidth, etc.). The logic may enforce the rules by selectively allowing some communications and denying other communications.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems for selecting appropriate gateway servers for user devices with different device capabilities are disclosed. In one example aspect, a wireless communication method includes provisioning multiple wireless electronic devices of a user with a first access point name, and receiving, from a wireless electronic device of the multiple wireless electronic devices of the user, a request for establishing a data session. The method also includes determining, in part based on a capability of the wireless electronic device, a second access point name that is different from the first access point name and selecting a packet gateway server corresponding to the capability of the wireless electronic device using the second access point name. The method further includes establishing the data session between the packet gateway server and the wireless electronic device.

Abstract: The disclosed system provides a facility for split billing for a single user on multiple billing systems. The disclosed system activates the user on each respective billing system using a unique pairing, such as an international mobile subscriber identity that identifies the user, and a mobile station international subscriber directory number that identifies a particular user device. As device data is routed through a telecommunication network via each access point name (APN), the network generates call detail records (CDRs), which include an indication of the APN used. The CDRs are routed to a mediation platform that uses the received APN information to route each CDR to the appropriate target billing system and to the appropriate service types.
