Abstract: A battery pack that includes a housing connectable to and supportable by a tool. The battery pack also includes a controller having a processor and a memory. The controller is connected to one or more sensors which provide data to the controller related to operational characteristics of the battery pack. The controller stores the operational characteristics of the battery pack in the memory. The battery pack also includes a battery pack black box. The controller communicates with the black box using a wired communication bus and transmits the stored operational characteristics of the battery pack to the black box. The battery pack black box is capable of transmitting the stored operational characteristics wirelessly to a device external to the battery pack.

Abstract: Systems and methods for remote power tool control are provided. In one example, a battery pack is coupled to a power tool device. The battery pack includes a pack transceiver and a pack electronic processor. The pack electronic processor is coupled to the pack transceiver and is configured to determine that the power tool device is remotely controllable. The pack electronic processor is further configured to receive, wirelessly via a pack transceiver of the battery pack, a remote control command from a mobile device, and to provide the remote control command to the power tool device. The system further includes a tool electronic processor of the power tool device in communication with the pack electronic processor. The tool electronic processor is configured to control the power tool device to perform an action specified by the remote control command in response to receiving the remote control command.

Abstract: A method for monitoring and controlling devices at a work site includes storing sensor data collected during operation of a work site device in a memory of the work site device. The charging station hub device transmits operational characteristics request to the work site device. The work site device determines operational characteristics of the work site device based on the sensor data stored in the memory of the work site device. The work site device transmits the operational characteristics of the work site device to the charging station hub device via the established connection supported by the work site device and the charging station hub device. The charging station hub transmits the operational characteristics to a mobile user device via the network.

Abstract: A battery pack including a housing, a plurality of battery cells located within the housing, and first, second, third, and fourth battery pack terminals.
