Abstract:
Example embodiments of the systems and methods of wireless USB service discovery disclosed herein provide the querying of the MAC address of devices for available services to determine the information elements provided to the querying devices based on access categories specified by the user of the querying device. Sniffing or querying of the Wi-Fi enabled devices may subsequently determine which of the MAC addresses correspond to known friends and automatically make that content accessible to those friends by including these MAC addresses in file metadata so that a device with this MAC address can subsequently access the file. Availability of this file for download may subsequently be advertised.
Abstract:
A master electronic circuit includes a storage representing a wireless collision avoidance networking process involving collision avoidance overhead and combined with a schedulable process including a serial data transfer process and a scheduler, a wireless modem operable to transmit and receive wireless signals for the networking process and a processor coupled with the storage and with the wireless modem and operable to execute the scheduler to establish and transmit a schedule for plural serial data transfers involving the processor and distinct station identifications, and to execute the serial data transfers inside the wireless networking process and according to the schedule so as to avoid at least some of the collision avoidance overhead. Other electronic circuits, processes of making and using, and systems are disclosed.
Abstract:
A wireless universal serial bus (USB) system that includes a wireless USB host, a first wireless USB device, and a second wireless USB device. The wireless USB host is configured to wirelessly transmit a beacon over a wireless USB network based on a wireless USB protocol. The first and second wireless USB devices are configured to exchange wireless packets with the wireless USB host. The beacon designates the wireless USB network address access times for the first and second wireless USB devices.
