Abstract: A method includes communicating with a remote device using a first access node of an access network; determining, by a centralized stack node of the access network, that a quality of a first wireless communication link between the remote device and the first access node is below a threshold; identifying a second access node in the access network for which a quality of a second wireless communication link between the remote device and the second access node is above the threshold; responsive to identifying the second access node, updating, by a centralized controller of the stack node, an access node identifier associated with a connection with the remote device to be an identifier for the second access node; and communicating with the remote device using the second access node.

Abstract: A Bluetooth (BT) device includes a host processor and a BT controller coupled by a Host Controller Interface (HCI) including a Host Controller Transport Layer and a HCI Driver. The host processor implements an applications layer and includes HCI firmware for communicating via the Host Controller Transport Layer with the BT controller. The BT controller includes a processor coupled to a memory and to a transceiver, and a RF driver. The HCI firmware also includes HCI command code for a user to define a topology of the BT network including configuring the BT device in a current chain including a plurality of BT devices including configuring from which BT device it receives data from and which BT device it forwards data to. For communicating data across the BT network the BT device forwards the data without host processor involvement in at least resending the data back to its BT controller.

Abstract: A first BLUETOOTH device includes a transceiver configured to receive a control procedure packet from a second BLUETOOTH device during a BLUETOOTH connection event of a BLUETOOTH connection between the first BLUETOOTH device and the second BLUETOOTH device. The first BLUETOOTH device also includes a controller coupled to the transceiver and configured to set a more data (MD) bit of a response packet to the control procedure packet to a first value independent of whether the first BLUETOOTH device has more data to send to the second BLUETOOTH device. The first value corresponds to maintaining the BLUETOOTH connection event open. The transceiver is further configured to send the response packet to the second BLUETOOTH device during the BLUETOOTH connection event.
