Abstract:
A method for predicting electrical energy production of a photovoltaic system included in at least one aircraft is described. The method includes determining a first predicted amount of solar irradiance for each of a plurality of geographical points, determining a second predicted amount of solar irradiance received by the at least one aircraft along a flight path of the at least one aircraft, wherein the flight path includes a subset of the plurality of geographical points, and wherein the second predicted amount is based at least in part on the first predicted amount, and determining a predicted amount of electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic system along the flight path, based at least in part on the second predicted amount.

Abstract:
A real-time galley power management and fault monitoring system for an aircraft manages a status of power consumption of a plurality of galley inserts inside a galley complex of an aircraft and monitors fault status of each galley insert of the plurality of galley inserts.
Abstract:
A method for calculating solar irradiance over a predetermined time period for a geographical area including a plurality of geographical points is described. The method is implemented by a computing device coupled to a weather database. The method includes receiving a first identifier corresponding to a beginning of the predetermined time period and a second identifier corresponding to an ending of the predetermined time period, receiving weather data from the weather database, generating a model of diffuse light and atmosphere attenuation, based at least on the first identifier, the second identifier, and the weather data, determining solar parameters, and determining an amount of solar irradiance for each geographical point for each of a plurality of time intervals within the predetermined time period, based at least on the model and the solar parameters.
Abstract:
An apparatus for managing aircraft health data includes a wireless network server disposed onboard an aircraft, and at least one wireless condition monitoring device disposed onboard the aircraft, wirelessly connected to the wireless network server and configured to transmit respective health data to the wireless network server based on a communication scheme that maintains an availability of an aircraft wireless network.
Abstract:
A system and method for performing build verification of equipment systems after being installed in a partially constructed vehicle portion. After installing one or more of prerequisite equipment systems during a current build stage of a vehicle build plan, the installed equipment systems are tested during the current build stage to determine whether the installed equipment systems are electrically connected correctly.
