Abstract: The present invention is a polyester composition for a masterbatch, which comprises a polyester, a magnesium compound, an alkali metal compound and a phosphorus compound, wherein magnesium atoms, alkali metal atoms and phosphorus atoms are contained in amounts of 400 to 2700 ppm by mass, 40 to 270 ppm by mass and 200 to 1700 ppm by mass, respectively, in the polyester composition, the melt resistivity of the polyester composition is 0.005×108 to 0.05×108 Ω·cm, and few contaminant particles are observed in the polyester composition under specified conditions. The polyester composition for a masterbatch has a satisfactorily low melt resistivity, contains few contaminant particles, and has an excellent color hue and excellent thermal stability.

Abstract: The invention provides a polyester resin for heat-shrinkable film which contains terephthalic acid as a main component of a dicarboxylic acid component, contains ethylene glycol as a main component of a diol component, and contains from 18 to 32% by mol of neopentyl glycol and from 8 to 16% by mol of diethylene glycol when a total amount of the whole diol component in total polyester resin components is taken as 100% by mol. The polyester resin has an intrinsic viscosity (IV) of from 0.70 to 0.86 dl/g, a carboxyl end group concentration (AV) of from 8 to 25 eq/t, and a color b value of from 1.0 to 12.0 in an L*a*b color system. The invention also provides a heat-shrinkable film prepared from the aforementioned polyester resin, as well as a heat-shrinkable label and packaged product.

Abstract: The present invention is a copolymerized polyester resin which contains a dicarboxylic acid component and diol components as constituting components, wherein greater than or equal to 90 mol % of terephthalic acid is contained as the dicarboxylic acid component, 39 to 79 mol % of ethylene glycol, 20 to 60 mol % of neopentyl glycol and 1 to 5 mol % of diethylene glycol are contained as the diol components, the reduced viscosity of the resin is greater than or equal to 0.50 dl/g, the number of contaminants having a particle diameter of greater than or equal to 5 μm is less than or equal to 100 per 1 mm2 in a sample of the copolymerized polyester resin having a thickness of 0.8 to 0.9 mm. The copolymerized polyester resin has a higher degree of clarification than conventionally known copolymerized polyesters and also has excellent color hue and heat resistance.

Abstract: The present invention provides a copolymerized polyester resin which can produce an adhesive resin having an excellent color tone and an excellent durability when used for an adhesive to be applied to various uses. A copolymerized polyester resin, comprising, as constituting ingredients, a dicarboxylic acid ingredient containing 75 molar % or less of terephthalic acid and a diol ingredient containing two or more kinds of diols, characterized in that the copolymerized polyester resin satisfies the following (1) and (2): (1) A decrease in a reduced viscosity after the copolymerized polyester resin is subjected to a heat treatment in a nitrogen atmosphere at 275° C. for 2 hours is 0.20 dl/g or less; and (2) A color b value is 5 or less.
