    Abstract: The apparatus determines whether or not the preceding vehicle is travelling in the overtaking lane at a speed lower than a travelling speed of the host vehicle. In a case where it is determined that the preceding vehicle is travelling in the overtaking lane at the speed lower than the travelling speed of the host vehicle, the apparatus performs the travel control of overtaking the preceding vehicle under a predetermined condition.
