Abstract: A battery electric vehicle includes an electric motor as a driving source. The battery electric vehicle includes: a driving operation member used to drive the battery electric vehicle; a pseudo shifting operation member that imitates an operation member used to perform a shifting operation of a manual transmission internal combustion engine vehicle; and a processor that controls the battery electric vehicle according to operation of the driving operation member. The processor is configured to execute, according to selection by a driver, a control mode in which an amount of operation input to the pseudo shifting operation member by the driver is associated with torque of the electric motor.

Abstract: A battery electric vehicle includes: an accelerator pedal; a shifter; a mode selection device that selects a control mode for an electric motor from a manual mode and an automatic mode in accordance with a mode selection operation by a driver; and a motor control device. The motor control device varies an output characteristic of the electric motor for an operation of the accelerator pedal in accordance with an operation position of the shifter in the manual mode. The motor control device varies an output of the electric motor in accordance with the operation of the accelerator pedal, irrespective of the operation position of the shifter, in the automatic mode. When ACC is requested during control in the manual mode, the motor control device switches control for the electric motor from the manual mode to the automatic mode.

Abstract: A battery electric vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a pseudo gear shift operation member that imitates an operation member used in gear shift operation of a manual transmission internal combustion engine vehicle in addition to a driving operation member used in driving thereof. A control apparatus that controls battery electric vehicle is configured to control the operation of the battery electric vehicle with respect to operation of the driving operation member in accordance with an operation state of the pseudo gear shift operation member. The control apparatus executes deceleration control that autonomously decelerates an own vehicle when the own vehicle enters a curved road. The control apparatus encourages a driver to operate the pseudo gear shift operation member in a manner similar to that when a gear ratio of the manual transmission internal combustion engine vehicle is increased when the deceleration control is executed.

Abstract: The electric vehicle of the present disclosure includes an accelerator pedal, a paddle type shifter, and a motor controller. The paddle type shifter is pre-registered with upshift operation, downshift operation, and mode switching operation. The motor controller switches a control mode of the electric motor between a manual mode and an automatic mode in response to the mode switching operation on the paddle type shifter. When the control mode is the automatic mode, the motor controller changes an output of the electric motor in accordance with the operation of the accelerator pedal. On the other hand, when the control mode is the manual mode, the motor controller changes an output characteristic of the electric motor with respect to the operation of the accelerator pedal in accordance with the upshift operation and the downshift operation of the paddle type shifter.

Abstract: An electric vehicle includes a shift lever and a clutch pedal for simulating manual gear changes of a traditional vehicle equipped with an internal combustion engine and manual transmission, and includes a controller for controlling the operation of the electric vehicle. The driver operates the shift lever in a similar fashion to that of a traditional manual transmission shift lever, however the associated gear positions do not correspond to physical gears in a transmission but rather virtual gear stage modes that correspond to mapped torque characteristics with respect to the rotational speed of the electric motor. The clutch pedal is operated by the driver when the shift lever is operated. The controller calculates the virtual engine speed of the virtual engine based on the virtual gear stage mode selected by the shift lever and the operation amount of the clutch pedal, and displays the virtual engine speed on a display.
