The printer assembly includes a carriage for holding a print head and having a slide contact, a slide having a wiper ramp, a carriage contact contactable by the slide contact of the carriage, and a wiper assembly including a base, a post extending from the base, a wiper arm, a wiper latch, a wiper holder, and a wiper blade, wherein the wiper arm is connected to the base such that the wiper arm is raised in a case that the wiper arm ramp moves laterally relative to and while in contact with the wiper arm, the wiper latch is connected to the wiper arm such that the wiper latch latches onto the post extending from the base in a case that the wiper arm is sufficiently raised, the wiper holder is connected to the wiper arm, and the wiper blade is connected to the wiper holder.

    摘要： An electronic typewriter having an ink jet printer that can prevent deterioration of printing quality and ejection failure of ink of the recording head or ejection unit of the ink jet printer, even when the recording head of the ink jet printer is exposed to air during the recording head stops its operation. The recording head is exposed to air in such an operation mode as layout determination like a margin setting, or tab setting. When the processing time of such operation mode exceeds predetermined times, ejection recovery processing of the recording head is carried out to maintain the good ejection state of the recording head depending on the processing time.

    摘要： An ink jet recording apparatus having a recording head for ejecting ink, a carriage for carrying the recording head, and a mechanism for adjusting a gap between a recording medium disposed on a platen and the recording head, and a gap adjusting method for adjusting a gap between a recording medium disposed on a platen and a recording head. Bearings attached to the carriage and mounted on a guide shaft are displaceable with respect to the carriage, and the bores of the bearings are eccentric with respect to the guide shaft. This enables the carriage to be displaced in a horizontal plane in accordance with the thickness of recording paper, and to consequently incline the ejection-outlet-array line of the recording head on the carriage. Further, the carriage is pivoted about one of the bearings in a plane including the bearings in accordance with the thickness of the paper.

    摘要： Disclosed is a sheet feeding apparatus capable of easily changing an amount of conveyance of sheet materials without increasing the costs. A sheet feeding roller body is constructed of a cylindrical sheet feeding roller support member provided with a sheet feeding roller and a gear on both sides thereof. A support portion of a sheet feeding shaft is inserted with a gap through a through-hole of the sheet feeding roller body, whereby the sheet feeding roller is rotatably supported by the sheet feeding shaft. The sheet feeding shaft receives a driving force via a sheet feeding shaft gear and thus rotates. The sheet feeding roller of the sheet feeding roller body receives a driving force via the gear from an ASF control gear and thus rotates, whereby the sheet feeding shaft and the sheet feeding roller can be rotated with different numbers of rotations.

    摘要： Feeding a recording medium through a printer for printing images on the recording medium by actuating a line feeding motor in predetermined stepped increments, feeding the recording medium through the printer by a line feeding device driven by the line feeding motor, printing a image on the recording medium by a print head scanning across the recording medium and ejecting ink from nozzles, the print head having j nozzles spaced at a predetermined pixel resolution that is less than a pixel resolution printed by the printer, j being an integer number, controlling the actuating step to actuate the line feed motor in stepped increments, and controlling the j nozzles utilized in printing the image. For each stepped increment of the line feed motor, the line feeding device feeds the recording medium (m×1/n) pixels of the print head pixel resolution, where m and n are integer numbers and m is greater than n. The j nozzles that print in any one scan of the print head are controlled based on the number of increments of the line feed motor. Additionally, a print driver calculates a line skip amount and a buffer offset amount, and adjusts a starting position for storing of the image data in a print buffer in a case where a first line of image data to be stored in the print buffer is white data.
