    摘要: An intake control device including a main intake passage provided with a throttle valve and a shut off valve disposed downstream of the throttle valve, and a bypass passage branched off from an upstream portion of the throttle valve and joined to the main intake passage at a portion downstream of the shut off valve. The amount of air through the bypass passage is controlled by an idle control valve. Owing to this arrangement, the residual gas within the downstream portion of the shut off valve is effectively removed by sufficient amount of scavenging air supplied by the bypass passage.

    摘要: A fuel tank having a fuel inlet pipe which has a normally closed closure valve arranged therein and opened by a fuel pump nozzle. A valve housing is fixed onto the outer wall of the fuel inlet pipe. A cam and a normally closed control valve actuated by the cam and controlling the fluid connection between the canister and the interior of the fuel tank are arranged in the valve housing. The cam shaft of the cam is mechanically connected to the rotary shaft of the closure valve. When the closure valve is opened by the fuel pump nozzle, the control valve is opened by the cam to feed the fuel vapor in the fuel tank into the canister.

    摘要: A valve assembly for use in a fuel tank of a vehicle which includes a first valve mechanism and a dust preventing member. The valve assembly is secured to the fuel tank and the valve assembly allows selective communication between the inside of the fuel tank and the outside of the fuel tank. The first valve mechanism includes a valve casing and a valve body. When the valve body is positioned at a first position, the valve body is positioned apart from an aperture of the valve casing. As a result, the valve assembly allows the communication between the inside of the fuel tank and the outside of the fuel tank through the aperture of the valve casing. On the other hand, when the valve body is positioned at a second position, the valve body covers the aperture of the valve casing. As a result, the valve assembly prevents communication between the inside of the fuel tank and the outside of the fuel tank. A dust preventing member is secured to an outer surface of the valve casing and includes a wall member. Accordingly, substantially all of minute dust particles and water vapor in the air flow are forced down by the wall member of the dust preventing means. Therefore, the dust preventing means substantially prevents the introduction of minute dust particles and water vapor into the fuel tank.

A first chamber is formed in the interior of one axial end of the housing and defined by one end of the activated carbon layer, and a second chamber is formed in the interior at the other axial end of the housing and defined by the other end of the activated carbon layer. A fuel vapor inlet pipe and a purge pipe are connected to the first chamber, and an air inlet pipe is connected to the second chamber. These pipes extend outwardly from a housing wall portion which defines the first chamber.
