摘要： An apparatus records main information and sub information onto an information recording medium, which has a main recording area and a sub recording area. The apparatus is provided with an receiving device that receives the main information input from the external source; an accumulating device that accumulates the main information received by the receiving device; a recording device that records the main information and the sub information to the main recording area and the sub recording area, respectively; and a controller that determines whether or not an amount of the main information accumulated in the accumulating device is smaller than a predetermined amount, and that controls the recording device. In the apparatus, the recording device records the sub information to the sub recording area under a control of the controller if the controller determines that the amount of the main information accumulated in the accumulating device is smaller than the predetermined amount, and the recording device records the main information to the main recording area under a control of the controller if the controller determines that the amount of the main information accumulated in the accumulating device is not smaller than the predetermined amount.

摘要： An arbitrary desired reproducing time is set for reproducing information recorded on a recording medium, and an ordinary reproducing time is obtained based on management information recorded on the recording medium when the recorded information is reproduced at a standard reproducing speed. A skipping rate is calculated from the desired reproducing time and the ordinary reproducing time. A reproducing device is provided for reproducing the information recorded on the recording medium in the set desired reproducing time at the calculated skipping rate.

摘要： A method of controlling a mass spectrometer comprises the steps of: supplying a current to a cathode electrode of an ion source having the cathode electrode and an anode electrode, and ionizing a molecules of a gas to be measured; selecting ions generated in the ion source by mass-to-charge ratio; and detecting an ion current value of the selected ions. When a partial pressure of the gas to be measured is measured based on a detection result of the ion current value, a cathode current is supplied to the cathode electrode such that an emission current flowing between the cathode electrode and the anode electrode becomes constant. When a partial pressure of the gas to be measured is not measured, a constant current having a current value less than that of the cathode current is supplied to the cathode electrode.
