    摘要: Disclosed herein is a genuine product battery identification system for mobile devices. A tag for identifying whether a battery is a genuine product battery is included a battery, and a reader for transmitting and receiving radio frequency information is included in a mobile device body. When the battery is mounted in the mobile device body, the mobile device is operated with power supplied from the battery, and the genuine product battery identification system determines whether the battery is a genuine product battery through radio frequency. When it is determined that the battery is the genuine product battery, power is continuously received from the battery to the mobile device, by which the mobile device is normally operated. When it is determined that the battery is not the genuine product battery, on the other hand, the reception of power from the battery to the mobile device is interrupted, whereby problems caused due to the use of a non-genuine product battery are fundamentally solved.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a secondary battery pack including a battery cell, and a protection circuit module (PCM) assembly, configured in a specific structure, coupled to the top of the battery cell. The secondary battery pack includes a battery cell having an electrode assembly mounted in a battery case together with an electrolyte in a sealed state, a protection circuit module (PCM) assembly including a PCM and connection members, the PCM assembly being provided with a through-hole for connection, an insulative mounting member mounted at the top of the battery cell, an insulative cap coupled to an upper end of the battery cell. One of the connection members, i.e., the connection member (A), protrudes from one end of the PCM assembly such that a region of the connection member (A) electrically connected to the battery cell is exposed upward from the PCM assembly. The other connection member, i.e., the connection member (B), is coupled to the bottom of the PCM such that at least a portion of the connection member (B) is exposed upward from the PCM assembly through the through-hole for connection. The electrical connection between the connection members and the electrode terminals of the battery cell is achieved at the top of the PCM while the insulative mounting member and the PCM assembly are loaded on the battery cell.

The secondary battery pack has a structure in which a protection circuit module (PCM) is mounted to a top of a plate-shaped battery cell having electrode terminals formed at an upper end thereof, the PCM includes a printed circuit board (PCB) having a protection circuit formed thereon, a safety element electrically connected between one of the electrode terminals of the battery cell and the protection circuit of the PCB, an external input and output terminal electrically connected to the protection circuit of the PCB, and an electrically insulative module case to cover the PCB and the safety element in a state in which the external input and output terminal extends outside. The PCM is loaded on an upper end case extension portion of the battery cell in a state in which the PCM is electrically connected to the electrode terminals of the battery cell.

The battery pack can be manufactured with a smaller thickness that any conventional battery packs, the heat dissipation from the battery body can be efficiently accomplished in the course of charging and discharging, and the battery pack provides structural stability required for a battery pack and an increased case coupling force.
