摘要: A rotation transmission device includes an outer ring having an inner periphery and an inner ring mounted inside the outer ring and having an outer periphery. A control retainer and a rotary retainer are disposed between opposed surfaces of the outer ring and the inner ring, and each of the retainers has a flange and bridges provided at the radially outer side of the respective flange and arranged circumferentially alternately with the bridges of the other retainer thereby defining pockets between the adjacent bridges. The control retainer is axially slidably and rotatably supported and the rotary retainer is axially immovably and rotatably supported. An electromagnetic clutch is mounted on a torque transmission shaft and includes an electromagnet having an electromagnetic coil, the electromagnetic clutch being configured to axially move the control retainer when the electromagnetic coil is energized and deenergized.

摘要: A rotation transmission device is provided which has a minimum play in the rotational direction, which is reliable by preventing the rollers from erroneously engaging during idling, and which has high torque capacity. A control retainer 19A and a rotary retainer 19B are mounted between an outer race 11 having a cylindrical surface 17 on its inner periphery and an inner race 12 having cam surfaces 18 on its outer periphery. An opposed pair of rollers 25 are mounted in each of pockets 24 defined between pillars 21 and 23 of the respective retainers 19A and 19B. A presser member 26 is also mounted in each pocket 24 which biases the pair of rollers 25 away from each other while pressing the rollers against the cam surface 18. A plurality of torque cams 40 are provided between flanges 20 and 22 of the control retainer 19A and the rotary retainer 19B. When the control retainer 19A is moved toward a rotor 52 by the actuation of an electromagnetic clutch 50, the torque cams 40 rotate the control retainer 19A and the rotary retainer 19B in the direction in which the circumferential width of the pockets 24 decreases, thereby disengaging the opposed pairs of rollers 25. When the control retainer 19A is moved away from the rotor 52, the control retainer 19A and the rotary retainer 19B are rotated relative to each other in the direction in which the circumferential width of the pockets 24 increases under the biasing force of the presser members 26, thereby engaging the rollers 25. While the inner race 12 is idling, the presser members 26 prevent the rollers 25 from moving radially outwardly, thereby preventing erroneous engagement of the rollers 25.

摘要: A rotation transmission device which can quickly change the direction of rotation includes an inner ring having cam surfaces on its outer periphery, an outer ring having a cylindrical surface on its inner periphery, and pairs of circumferentially opposed rollers, the rollers of each pair being disposed between one of the cam surfaces and the cylindrical surface to be circumferentially opposed to each other. A roller separation spring is disposed between the rollers of each pair of rollers to bias the rollers away from each other so that the rollers are wedged between the cam surface and the cylindrical surface. The rollers are retained by a roller retainer which can change the distance between the rollers of each pair of rollers. By reducing the distance between the rollers of each pair of rollers with the roller retainer, the rollers can be disengaged from the cam surfaces and the cylindrical surface.

摘要: A rotation transmission device is provided which is small in play in the rotational direction, can be idled with high reliability and is high in torque capacity.An axially movable control retainer 19A and a rotatable rotary retainer 19B are mounted between an outer ring 11 having a cylindrical surface 17 on its inner periphery and an inner ring 12 having cam surfaces on its outer periphery. An opposed pair of rollers 26 and a coil spring 27 for biasing the pair of rollers 26 away from each other are received in each pocket 25 defined between bridges 21 and 23 of the respective retainers 19A and 19B. A torque cam 30 is provided between flanges 20 and 22 of the control retainer 19A and the rotary retainer 19B, respectively. An armature 41 is coupled to the bridges 21 of the control retainer 19A. An electromagnet 43 is provided to face a rotor 42 that axially faces the armature 41 so that when the electromagnet 43 is energized, the control retainer 19A moves toward the rotor 42, and the control retainer 19A and the rotary retainer 19B rotate relative to each other in the direction to reduce the circumferential width of the pockets 25, thereby disengaging the opposed pairs of rollers 26. When the electromagnet 43 is deenergized, the control retainer 19A moves away from the rotor 42 under the biasing force of the separation spring 44, and the control retainer 19A and the rotary retainer 19B rotate relative to each other in the direction to increase the circumferential width of the pockets 25, thereby engaging the opposed pairs of rollers 26.

摘要: A rotation transmission device includes a control retainer and a rotary retainer having bars arranged circumferentially alternating with each other such that pockets are defined between the adjacent pairs of bars. A pair of rollers are mounted in each pocket with an elastic member disposed between the pair of rollers such that the pair of rollers are pushed by the respective bars to their respective disengaged positions when the control retainer and the rotary retainer rotate relative to each other. A spring holder is fitted on an input shaft while abutting one axial end surface of an inner ring. The spring holder has spring support pieces on the outer periphery thereof to prevent radially outward movement of the elastic members. The spring support pieces are plate-shaped members disposed radially outwardly of the elastic members to extend in the axial direction in parallel to the outer periphery of the inner ring.

摘要: A rotation transmission device includes a two-way clutch which is selectively engaged and disengaged by an electromagnetic clutch. The two-way clutch includes a control retainer and a rotary retainer. The control retainer and the rotary retainer have flanges and bars formed on outer peripheral portions of the respective flanges and arranged so as to circumferentially alternate with each other with pockets defined between adjacent bars. Two rollers are received in each pocket. When the control retainer and the rotary retainer are rotated relative to each other, the rollers are adapted to be pushed by the bars to the disengaged position. An anti-rotation arrangement is provided on opposed surfaces of an outer ring and the control retainer member. The anti-rotation arrangement is adapted to prevent the control retainer from rotating relative to the outer ring while the rollers are in engagement, thereby preventing the rollers from moving to the neutral position.

摘要: A spring clutch is provided which has improved durability by preventing a clutch spring from breaking due to fatigue. A cylindrical clutch spring made from a wire having a square section is mounted between a pulley and a pulley hub mounted in the pulley. An end of the clutch spring is coupled to the pulley hub. A clutch surface is formed on the inner periphery of the pulley and is formed with a large-diameter recess at a position opposite to the end portion of the clutch spring including the torque transmission end. When the pulley rotates in one direction, the clutch spring expands. At this time, the end portion of the clutch spring including the torque transmission end expands in the large-diameter recess, thus relaxing sharp torque produced in the clutch. This prevents local stress concentration on the clutch spring and breakage of the clutch spring and improves the durability of the clutch.

摘要: A rotation transmission device is configured such that when an electromagnet of an electromagnetic clutch is energized, a control retainer of a two-way clutch is moved in the axial direction, so that the control retainer and a rotary retainer rotate relative to each other in the direction in which the circumferential widths of pockets decrease, thereby disengaging pairs of rollers from an outer ring and an inner ring. A spring holder is provided which is fixed to an input shaft and kept in abutment with an axial end surface of the inner ring to prevent relative rotation between the control retainer and the rotary retainer in the direction in which the circumferential widths of the pockets decrease, from the neutral position of the rollers. The spring holder is prevented from axial movement to prevent untimely engagement of the two-way clutch. The inner ring is integral with the input shaft.
