Abstract:
An approach is provided for processing pattern data which corresponds to a type of visual effect that is obtained by applying a transparent material to a recording medium to which colored material is applied according to image data. Arrangement information indicating, for example, an area of the image data relative to the recording medium is employed when calculating a magnification to be applied to a size of the pattern data. Further, the image data is converted in accordance with the calculated magnification, and an image is formed on the recording medium by using the converted image data and the magnified (reduced or enlarged) pattern data.

A printing control device includes a toner-scattering prevention plane generating unit that generates toner-scattering prevention plane data indicating that clear toner is applied to an outline drawing that is identified from target data for print; and an image-data generating unit that generates image data that includes the outline drawing by using the toner-scattering prevention plane data.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes: a protected area determining unit that determines a protected area to be protected by forming a transparent color material pattern made of a transparent color material on recording paper; a grain-direction acquiring unit that acquires a grain direction of the recording paper; a pattern determining unit that determines a direction of the transparent color material pattern based on the acquired grain direction; a pattern generating unit that generates the transparent color material pattern in the determined direction; and a color material forming unit that forms the transparent color material pattern in the determined direction on the protected area of the recording paper.
Abstract:
A device for emergently relieving pressure comprising a thin plate having its peripheral portion curved so that its central portion protrudes downward, the peripheral portion being welded to the inner periphery of a hatch coaming provided in a fuel tank, a stiffening plate laid on the central portion of the thin plate, a support beam disposed under the thin plate and extending across the coaming, and a rupture bar connecting the laminate of the thin plate and stiffening plate to the support beam, the rupture bar being adapted to be ruptured before the weld between the peripheral portion of the thin plate and the inner periphery of the coaming is broken. The device permits accurate release of any abnormal pressure developed in the tank and thus assures the safety of the tank.
Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire improved in the durability at a splice part (2) of a tire-constituting member (1) and in the uniformity of the tire, and a process for producing the same. The pneumatic tire includes a tire-constituting member (1) having a splice part (2) on which a thin film (3) made of a thermoplastic resin or a thermoplastic elastomer composition is coated and fusion-bonded. In addition, the process for producing the pneumatic tire includes a step of heating the thin films (3) each arranged at the splice part (2) of an inner liner layer (14) or the splice part (2) of a carcass layer (13) so as to thermally fusing the thermoplastic resin or the thermoplastic elastomer composition constituting the thin films (3).
Abstract:
A pneumatic tire includes a tread portion; a plurality of main grooves extending in a tire circumferential direction on the tread portion; at least four ribs sectioned by the main grooves on the tread portion; a plurality of open sipes, each formed across both edge portions of the rib, the open sipes being formed on each of the ribs; and a plurality of multisipes, each formed on one of the edge portions of the rib. The multisipes are formed on only each of the ribs between which an outer main groove is positioned, and are aligned along the edge portion of the rib. The outer main groove is a main groove in an outermost position in a tire width direction out of the main grooves.

Abstract:
A color information converting device for use in a color image recorder for processing image density signals each being representative of a particular color-separated image density to produce a record density signal representative of the record density of black, cyan, magenta or yellow. The device adds an undercolor to an image easily with a simple and inexpensive construction and produces a record density signal representative of full black or skeleton black also easily with a simple and inexpensive construction. In a full-color record mode, image density signals are transformed into record density signals by constants which are associated with the values of the image density signals while, in a monocolor record mode, the former is transformed into the latter by constants which are not related to the values of the image density signals. This implements combined full-color and monocolor recording which is excellent in color-reproducibility.
