Abstract: A rear hub has a hub shaft and a hub outer that is configured to be mounted in a freely rotatable manner to the hub shaft. The hub outer has an outer main body and an adapter. The outer main body is arranged on the radially inward side of a sprocket, and has a first rotation preventing section that engages with an engaging section 64 of the sprocket in such a manner that the outer main body cannot rotate relative to the sprocket. The adapter is mounted in a freely rotatable manner on an adapter mounting section of the outer main body. The adapter includes a second rotation preventing section that engages with the engaging section of the sprocket in such a manner that the adapter cannot rotate relative to the sprocket.

Abstract: A bicycle hub is provided with a hub axle assembly, a hub shell and a pair of bearing units. The hub axle assembly basically has a hub axle washer, a bicycle hub axle and a washer retaining portion or member. The hub axle washer includes an outer peripheral surface and an inner peripheral surface defining an axle receiving opening. The bicycle hub axle includes a shaft portion and a head portion with the washer retaining member or portion being located on the shaft portion to retain the hub axle washer on the shaft portion. In the preferred embodiment, the washer retaining portion or member is a resilient member in the form of a flexible O-ring.

Abstract: A bicycle disc brake hub is provided with a brake rotor attachment portion having an external surface with an external spline section and an annular internal surface with internal threads, and a locking ring having a center tubular section with external threads and an abutment flange extending outwardly from the center tubular section to form an axially facing retaining surface. The external threads of the center tubular section mates with the internal threads of the brake rotor attachment portion to secure a rotor mounting boss and a brake rotor thereto. Abstract: A bicycle wheel securing structure includes a bicycle fork, an adapter and a holding member. The bicycle fork has two axle support portions that are spaced apart for receiving a bicycle hub therebetween. The adapter is disposed in an adapter receiving bore in one of the axle support portions. The adapter includes a threaded axle mounting opening. The holding member is operatively coupled between the adapter and the one of the axle support portions with the adapter. The holding member prevents both rotational movement of the adapter with respect to the bicycle fork and axial movement of the adapter with respect to the bicycle fork along an axis of the axle mounting opening when the holding member is in a retaining position. Abstract: An apparatus for coupling a bicycle disc brake rotor to a bicycle wheel hub is disclosed. The apparatus includes an adapter and a rotor retaining member.
