    摘要: An optical head comprises a photodetector 8 having divided photosensitive areas to detect light 13 reflected from an optical disk 7, means 10, 11, 12 for obtaining track error signal by operating signals from the photosensitive areas. The photodetector 8 has a first division line 9a parallel to an information track on the optical disk and second and third division lines 9b, 9c perpendicular to the first division line 9f and symmetrical to the optical axis. Further, a light-shielding area 8i is provided for shielding a part of the reflected light between the division lines 9b and 9c. The signals are operated to reduce offset of the tracking error signal due to a shift of object lens and a tilt of the optical disk. Accordingly, the optical head of the present invention has a small offset of tracking error signal with a simple structure.

    摘要: An optical head that detects a tilt in an optical disk. The optical head includes a condensing means, a light receiving means, a tracking error signal detection means, and an optical tilt detecting means. The light receiving means includes at least first and second light receiving areas, the first light receiving area being a rectangle having long sides that extend in a direction perpendicular to information tracks on the optical disk. The tracking error signal detection means detect error signals corresponding to light signals received in the first and second light receiving areas. The optical disk tilt detection means compare the tracking error signals to detect a radial tilt in the optical disk. In an alternative embodiment, the long sides of first light receiving area extend in a direction parallel to the information tracks, and the optical disk tilt detecting means detect a tangential tilt in the optical disk.

    摘要: An optical head is composed of an objective 2, a composite diffraction element 3 having six areas divided by three parting lines 3a to 3c; and a substrate 5 on which a light-emitting element and a plurality of light-receiving elements are arranged. A focus and a tracking error signals are generated based on signals from the light-receiving elements that receive those of a plurality of luminous fluxes divided by the composite diffraction element 3 which result from passage through the portion between the parting lines 3b and 3c. In generating the tracking error signal, signals from the light-receiving elements that receive luminous fluxes resulting from passage through the outside of the parting lines 3b and 3c are used to correct an offset in the tracking error signal caused by the movement of the objective.

The magnitude of the power of the wavelength selective element as a lens with respect to the second laser light is larger than the magnitude of the power of the wavelength selective element as a lens with respect to the first laser light. Accordingly, it may be possible to reduce the optical pickup device and the optical disk apparatus in size.

    摘要: The invention provides a tracking control device, a tracking control method, and an optical disc apparatus that enable to stably perform the tracking control, and reduce an influence of stray light from the other layer on the tracking control. A sub push-pull signal correcting section corrects a sub push-pull signal to be generated from returning light of a sub beam in such a manner that a track crossing component of a main push-pull signal to be generated from returning light of a main beam, and a track crossing component of the sub push-pull signal to be generated from the returning light of the sub beam are canceled. A low pass filter reduces a high frequency component of the sub push-pull signal corrected by the sub push-pull signal correcting section. A subtractor subtracts a sub push-pull signal passing the low pass filter from the main push-pull signal to thereby generate a tracking error signal.

As measured in a first direction in which the light receiving areas are arranged, a gap between the light receiving areas is longer than the width of the non-light-receiving area. The optical head further includes a tracking error signal generating section for generating a tracking error signal based on the light quantity signal.
