    摘要: An optical pickup device includes a first laser element that emits first laser light, a second laser element that emits second laser light of which the wavelength is longer than that of the first laser light, an optical path composition element that composes the first laser light and the second laser light to one optical path, a wavelength selective element that acts on the composed first or second laser light; and an objective lens that condenses the first laser light and the second laser light on an optical disk. The magnitude of the power of the wavelength selective element as a lens with respect to the second laser light is larger than the magnitude of the power of the wavelength selective element as a lens with respect to the first laser light. Accordingly, it may be possible to reduce the optical pickup device and the optical disk apparatus in size.

    摘要: An optical pickup device has a first light source and a second light source each adapted for outputting a laser beam of a predetermined wavelength, a photodetector for detecting an intensity of the laser beam outputted from the first light source or the second light source to control the power of the laser beam to be outputted from the first light source or the second light source, a wideband quarter wavelength plate for converting the laser beam outputted from the first light source or the second light source into a circularly polarized laser beam, and a first rise-up mirror and a second rise-up mirror for guiding a P-polarized component in the laser beam converted by the wideband quarter wavelength plate to the photodetector, and guiding an S-polarized component in the laser beam different from the P-polarized component to an optical recording medium. With this arrangement, provided are an optical pickup device and an optical recording medium driving device capable of accurately controlling the power of the light source.

    摘要: An optical pickup apparatus includes a light source emitting a light, an objective lens collecting the light on an optical disk, a collimate lens that is moved in an optical axis direction along a light path of the light to change a divergent angle or a convergent angle of the light, a starting prism that expands a spot shape of an incident light in a first predetermined direction to emit the light, and a beam shaping prism that expands a spot shape of an incident light in a second predetermined direction to emit the light, and the collimate lens, the beam shaping prism, and the starting prism are disposed in order from the light source side toward the objective lens on a light path connecting the light source and the objective lens, and the first predetermined direction is perpendicular to the second predetermined direction. Thereby, it is possible to make an attempt to thin the optical pickup apparatus and an optical disk apparatus using the optical pickup apparatus.

A preferred embodiment provides a manufacturing device including: a compression punch that compresses a side wall portion of a raw material in an axial direction, the raw material including a bottom surface portion and the side wall portion which is cylindrical and provided to extend upright from an outer peripheral end portion of the bottom surface portion. A compression die disposed to face the compression punch in the axial direction and having a toothed shape formed on an inner peripheral surface. The compression punch contacts the compression die, and thereafter the compression die is pushed by the compression punch to form a toothed shape on the side wall portion while moving in the axial direction.
