    摘要: A metabolic syndrome relieving agent that is free from a problem of side effects and can be taken for a long term is provided. Bergamottin is used as an agent for relieving a metabolic syndrome. Since bergamottin has functions of activating PPARα and PPARγ, promoting the secretion of adiponectin in adipocytes and inhibiting the generation of VLDLs in hepatic cells, it is possible to prevent or treat diseases such as insulin resistance, hyperinsulinism, type 2 diabetes, obesity, visceral fat obesity, hypertension, hyperlipemia, arteriosclerosis and the like and thus prevent or treat the metabolic syndrome. Also, as understood from the fact that citrus fruits such as a grapefruit or the like containing bergamottin have been eaten for many years, they have no problems in terms of safety and have a low calorie content, and therefore, they can be taken for a long term. Further, since bergamottin is tasteless and odorless, it does not impair the unique taste of a food when added to this food, so that it can be added to foods and taken.

    摘要: A unit incorporating a reservoir tank and an expansion valve into a single built-in structure comprises a reservoir tank 10 sealed by a cover 20, and an expansion valve 30 fixed on the cover 20. A refrigerant pipe 40 extending through the cover 20 introduces a refrigerant from a compressor through a condenser into the reservoir tank 10. The refrigerant introduced into the expansion valve 30 through a pipe 50 increases in volume, and then enters an evaporator. After passing the evaporator, the refrigerant in the gaseous phase flows through pipe 62 into the expansion valve 30, then delivers thermal information of the refrigerant to a heat sensitive member of the expansion valve, and travels in a pipe 70 extending into and from the reservoir tank 10. While traveling along the pipe 70, the gaseous refrigerant exchanges heat with the liquid refrigerant stored in the reservoir tank, and then returns to the compressor.

The valve includes a valve plug for adjusting the flow rate of the refrigerant flowing in the orifice, an operating rod for moving the valve plug in a valve opening direction, and a temperature sensing drive unit for driving the operating rod. A support ring for constraining the spherical valve plug is located on the upper-stream side of the high-pressure passage with respect to the orifice. The support ring is formed of a circular annular portion capable of elastic deformation and vibration-proof springs. The springs support the valve plug.
