摘要: A liquid crystal display element and a process for producing the same is disclosed. The liquid crystal display is composed of liquid crystals filled in a matrix comprising at least two high polymers having neither mutual compatibility nor substantial compatibility with the liquid crystals, said matrix being sandwiched between two transparent electrode bases. The display element is produced by applying a solution of the liquid crystals and the aforesaid high polymers in a common solvent onto a transparent electrode base, drying the solution to cause phase separation, and laminating another transparent electrode base on the dry film. The display element provides a wide display area with bright contrast and achieves orientation of liquid crystals with a low applied voltage.

摘要: There is provided a system for supporting the assessment as to which disease group the subject to be examined falls in or what position in the whole disease group the subject is in. This support system comprises the data storage part which stores feature values of optical bio-measurement data of many subjects including patients in multiple disease groups, the analysis part which extracts plural kinds of feature values from the optical bio-measurement data and the display part which displays the results of analysis in the analysis part associated with the dictionary data, wherein the display part produces a scatter diagram on which features values of the dictionary data are plotted, with one of the two feature values being plotted along the axis of abscissa and the other along the axis of ordinate, and displays the positions of the subject to be assessed on the scatter diagram superimposed on the scatter diagram. With this scatter diagram, the relationship between the features of the subject and the feature of the disease group can be known in one glance.

摘要: An apparatus which can objectively assess and display to what extent and to which disease the subject belongs based on the signals of changes in hemoglobin amount measured by the optical measurement apparatus is provided. The disease assessment apparatus comprises the feature extraction unit 15 for extracting features of the hemoglobin waveform, the feature analysis unit 16 and the storage unit 12 for storing features by each disease as database. The disease is assessed by extracting various kinds of feature amounts from the hemoglobin signals of the subject measured by the optical measurement apparatus in the feature extraction unit 15 and by applying multivariate analysis of similarities between feature amounts extracted and feature amounts stored by disease in the storage unit 12. Results of assessment are shown as scores expressing similarity with each disease group in a bar graph.

摘要: The rotor of a stepping motor is formed of a shaft, a cylindrical magnet, first core pieces having an inside diameter substantially equal to the diameter of a rotor shaft and having a number of teeth on the periphery and second core pieces having an inside diameter substantially equal to the outside diameter of the magnet and having a peripheral contour similar to that of the first core pieces. A cylindrical jig is provided having ribs longitudinally formed on the inner peripheral wall which guide the teeth on the periphery of the ring-shaped core pieces. A predetermined number of the first and second ring-shaped core pieces are stacked in succession, in the bottom of the jig and one end portion of magnet is then fit into the hollow of the stack of core pieces. A spring member is applied over the magnet either before or after insertion and thereafter a predetermined number of the second pieces on the opposite end portion of the magnet and a predetermined number of the first core pieces are fit over the other end of the magnet. Finally the rotor shaft is forced through the stacked groups of core pieces and the magnet, thereby assembling the shaft, core pieces, and magnet together. The spring member exerts an axial bias on the core pieces. The assembly is then removed from the jig and a bonding agent applied thereon.
