    摘要: This invention relates to a rubber plug for a waterproof connector used in a wire harness for an automobile, and an object thereof is to make the movement of the plug smooth when feeding the plug by a part feeder to an assembling line where the plug is connected to a metal terminal. According to the present invention, the rubber plug comprises a contact portion of a synthetic resin formed to extend axially from a seal portion of a rubber plug which extends continuously from a metal terminal-connection tubular portion having a wire passage internal bore, the seal portion being adapted to be in intimate contact with an inner wall of a connector housing. The rubber plug is moved with the sliding contact portion held in contact with a feed guide rail of a part feeder.

    摘要: An electrical connector capable of achieving proper positioning and redundant retainment of terminals therein by the single operation of attaching a retaining member. The retaining member has salient portions which extend into chambers holding the terminals. Upon attachment, the retaining member is constrained to move, from a position behind the terminals, in a directin parallel to a longitudinal axis of the chambers. Accordingly, installation of the retaining piece urges the terminals into proper position and engagement with an auxiliary retaining device. In addition, the retaining member can be fixed relative to remaining portions of the connector so as to cause the salient portions thereof that extend into the chambers to provide additional retainment to the terminals.

    摘要: An improved connector terminal is provided that is capable of being inserted more easily into a terminal accommodating chamber of a connector housing.The connector terminal comprises a wire connecting part and an electric contact part that may be inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber of a connector housing having an opening edge. The electric contact part includes a rectangular cylindrical body having two pairs of opposing walls for a total of four walls and a guide protrusion protruding continually from the tip of at least one of the four walls of the body. The guide protrusion has a guide surface that slides along the opening edge of the connector housing when the electric contact part is inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber. The guide protrusion is structured to protrude from one of the four walls so as to have substantially the same width as the wall width or structured so that a bent guide surface is formed by extending and bending tips of at least two of the four walls that have a width smaller than the width of the respective wall.

As a result, a pair of retaining pawls 37 are put in engagement with the engaging holes 15, whereby the plug pin 1 and the insulating housing 3 are fixed to each other. Since the plug pin 1 and the insulating housing 3 are fixed together by both press-fit engagement of the plug pin 1 into the insulating housing 3 and engagement of the retaining pawls 37 with the engaging holes 15, the strength of the fixing is enhanced.

    摘要: A coaxial connector includes a central contact, an insulating housing, a grounding shell and a clamp. Central contact, a cylindrical slim member, is formed by stamping a conductive thin metal sheet of phosphor bronze or other specially suitable material. The central contact has a forward end portion slotted to form a pair of leaf-spring-like contact pieces enabling resilient contact with both sides of plug pin. Plug pin is inserted into a contact receiving hole from the front side to establish electrical connections with contact pieces. Rear end portion of the central contact is integrally formed with an open-topped crimp barrel that has a U-shaped cross section in a plane perpendicular to the lengthwise direction of the central contact. Crimp barrel serves as a conductor connecting portion that is crimped into contact with the central conductor of the coaxial cable once the central conductor is inserted into the central contact from rear end portion.

    摘要: The terminal locking block is mounted to the connector housing in two steps, first in a provisional engagement condition and then in a full engagement condition. In the provisional engagement condition, a stopper formed at the rear inside of the terminal locking block stays out of terminal insertion passages, allowing terminal lugs to be inserted into the terminal accommodating chambers, in which the terminal lugs are held by resilient engagement pieces of the connector housing. When the terminal locking block is pushed down and advanced forwardly into the full engagement condition, the stopper is situated immediately behind protrusions of the terminal lugs, thus securely locking them. When it is desired to remove the terminal lugs from the connector housing, the terminal locking block is retracted to the provisional engagement condition and the resilient engagement piece is pried open by a jig to disengage the terminal lug. At this time, a restraining projection formed at the front inside of the terminal locking block prevents the resilient engagement piece from being deflected too much, thus protecting it from being broken.

    摘要: A rear holder integral-type connector is constituted by a hollow rectangular housing body made from resin, and rear holders coupled integrally with the upper and lower walls of the housing body through displaceable hinges respectively. The rear holders are bent, at a position displaced from the fore side of the upper wall of the housing body to the rear side slightly, toward the fore side with the displaceable hinges as pivotal axes. The housing body and the rear holders which are disposed back to back, are temporarily fixed by temporary fixation hinges. These temporary fixation hinges are formed integrally with the housing body and the rear holders. Locking side pieces for locking are provided at the both side ends of the rear holders, and locking grooves are provided at a rear end portion of the housing body.
