摘要： An electrical connector wherein terminals are secured inside terminal receiving chambers by virtue of a retaining member. The retaining member has elongated retaining protrusions that enter the terminal receiving chambers so as to operatively engage with and secure a position of the terminals. The terminal retaining protrusions enter the terminal receiving chambers through holes formed on the sides thereof so as to allow the retaining member to be essentially accommodating within the lengthwise dimension of the connector body.

摘要： An electrical connector capable of achieving proper positioning and redundant retainment of terminals therein by the single operation of attaching a retaining member. The retaining member has salient portions which extend into chambers holding the terminals. Upon attachment, the retaining member is constrained to move, from a position behind the terminals, in a directin parallel to a longitudinal axis of the chambers. Accordingly, installation of the retaining piece urges the terminals into proper position and engagement with an auxiliary retaining device. In addition, the retaining member can be fixed relative to remaining portions of the connector so as to cause the salient portions thereof that extend into the chambers to provide additional retainment to the terminals.

摘要： This invention relates to a rubber plug for a waterproof connector used in a wire harness for an automobile, and an object thereof is to make the movement of the plug smooth when feeding the plug by a part feeder to an assembling line where the plug is connected to a metal terminal. According to the present invention, the rubber plug comprises a contact portion of a synthetic resin formed to extend axially from a seal portion of a rubber plug which extends continuously from a metal terminal-connection tubular portion having a wire passage internal bore, the seal portion being adapted to be in intimate contact with an inner wall of a connector housing. The rubber plug is moved with the sliding contact portion held in contact with a feed guide rail of a part feeder.

摘要： An improved connector terminal is provided that is capable of being inserted more easily into a terminal accommodating chamber of a connector housing.The connector terminal comprises a wire connecting part and an electric contact part that may be inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber of a connector housing having an opening edge. The electric contact part includes a rectangular cylindrical body having two pairs of opposing walls for a total of four walls and a guide protrusion protruding continually from the tip of at least one of the four walls of the body. The guide protrusion has a guide surface that slides along the opening edge of the connector housing when the electric contact part is inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber. The guide protrusion is structured to protrude from one of the four walls so as to have substantially the same width as the wall width or structured so that a bent guide surface is formed by extending and bending tips of at least two of the four walls that have a width smaller than the width of the respective wall.

摘要： A pressure contact terminal (50) comprises: a main body (60) having an elongate main base plate (61), a pair of two front side plates (62) and a pair of two middle side plates (64) both formed by bending both sides of the main base plate; and a spring member (70) having a spring base plate (71), a spring piece (72) formed by turning down a front end of the spring base plate, and at least one pressure contact plate (74) formed by bending a rear end of the spring base plate at a right angle so as to be connected to wire conductor. After the spring member has been assembled with the main body, the two front side plates (62) being further bent into a box shape to form a male terminal pressure contact portion in cooperation with the spring piece (72) of the spring member (70). Since the spring piece (72) and the pressure contact plate (74) are formed integral with each other by the single spring member (70 ) of high elasticity, a male terminal can be pressure-connected to the wire conductor via only the single spring member (70), so that the electric contact reliability can be improved. Further, the spring member (70) can be manufactured simply through only bending process.

摘要： A waterproof connector includes a female connector housing and a cylindrical packing holder. The female connector housing has a peripheral edge of an opening through which a male connector housing is inserted. The packing holder has a peripheral edge of an opening. This peripheral edge contacts the inside of the peripheral edge of the opening in the female connector housing. The peripheral edge of the opening in the packing holder has end portions formed by partially cutting the packing holder. Recesses are formed in the end portions on the peripheral edge of the opening in the packing holder. Projections are formed on portions of the female connector housing, which portions correspond to the end portions of the packing holder. The projections are fitted into the recesses so as to join the packing holder and the female connector housing. When the packing holder is inserted into the female connector housing, the peripheral edge of the opening in the packing holder is joined integrally with the peripheral edge of the opening in the female connector housing. Thus, when the male connector is fitted, it is mated smoothly with the female connector housing without causing the end portions of the peripheral edge of the packing holder to hinder mating.
