摘要: The mechanical seal (3) includes: a rotary side sliding ring (32) which is supported by the large diameter side outer circumferential face (23) of the annular step section (21) of the rotary shaft (2) via the rotary side O-ring (37) and press-fitted into the annular step section (21) by gas pressure in the device; and an unturnable stationary side sliding ring (31) which is fixed onto the seal housing (1) side via the stationary side O-ring (33) being capable of moving in the axial direction and being able to come into close contact with the sliding protrusion (323) of the rotary side sliding ring (32) due to the spring (36) so that the airtightly sealed sliding face S is formed. The rotary side sliding ring (32) is made of self-lubrication sliding material, and the stationary side sliding ring (31) is made of sliding material, the Young's modulus of which is higher than that of the self-lubrication sliding material. A deforming force given to the rotary side sliding ring (32) in the leaning direction caused by differential pressure between the high gas pressure and the atmospheric pressure outside the device is canceled by a deforming force caused by a component in the axial direction of the differential pressure acting on the annular step section (21) of the rotary shaft (2) in the pressing direction.

摘要: A first swash plate 18 is coupled to a drive shaft 16 to be rotatable integrally with the drive shaft 16. Single head pistons 23 are coupled to the first swash plate 18 via shoes 25A, 25B. Rotation of the drive shaft 16 rotates the first swash plate 18, which causes the pistons 23 to reciprocate and compress refrigerant gas. The first swash plate 18 supports an annular second swash plate 51 to be rotatable relative to the first swash plate 18 via a ball bearing 52. The second swash plate 51 is arranged between the first swash plate 18and the shoes 25B that receive a compressive load to be slidable with respect to the first swash plate 18 and the shoes 25B. Therefore, the first swash plate reliably slides with respect to the second swash plate.

摘要: First pumping threads are formed on an inner circumferential surface of the seal lip portion of an elastomer lip member. The first pumping threads generate a pumping action in a leakage direction when a shaft rotates. A first resin lip member is arranged at a rear side of the elastomer lip member. Second pumping threads generate a pumping action in a direction opposite to the leakage direction when the shaft rotates. The second pumping threads are formed from an inner circumferential surface of a seal lip portion of the first resin lip member to a rear portion of a bent portion thereof. A second resin lip member is arranged at a rear side of the first resin lip member and has a surface sliding on the shaft, which is formed smoothly.

摘要: A shaft sealing assembly is located in a suction chamber of a swash plate type compressor to seal the space between a drive shaft and a housing. A first end portion of the drive shaft is supported by a first radial bearing. A second end portion of the drive shaft is supported by a second radial bearing. The suction chamber is closer to the first end portion of the drive shaft than the first radial bearing is. An axial passage is formed in the drive shaft to connect the suction chamber to the crank chamber. An inlet of the axial passage is closer to the second end portion than the second radial bearing is. An outlet of the axial passage is closer to the second end portion than the first radial bearing is.

摘要: An elastomer lip member with its rear supported by a pressure resisting back-up ring, and a synthetic resin lip member arranged on a rear side of the elastomer lip are comprised, and on the inner circumferential surface of the seal lip portion of the elastomer lip member, helical grooves generating a pumping action of a fluid introducing direction from an inner space of machine side when a shaft rotates are formed. When a pressure in the inner space of machine is MPa (gage), by making a contact width between the seal lip portion of the elastomer lip member and a shaft at least 0.6 mm, so that a surface pressure maximum portion of the seal lip portion of the elastomer lip member to the shaft is biased or maldistributed toward its rear side whereby a fluid introduction by said helical grooves is performed satisfactorily.

摘要: A shaft seal seals a rotary shaft surface to prevent fluid from moving between a high-pressure area and a low-pressure area. The shaft seal has a lip type ring fitted on the side of the high-pressure area of the rotary shaft. The lip type ring further includes a lip ring, a plurality of first portions and a plurality of second portions. The lip ring is located around the rotary shaft. The lip ring has a ring surface. The first portions are formed on the ring surface to slidably contact the rotary shaft surface. The first portions guide the fluid towards a space between the ring surface and the rotary shaft surface as the rotary shaft is rotated. The second portions are formed on the ring surface. The second portions prevent the fluid in the space from leaking into the low-pressure area.
