    摘要: In an electron gun assembly, electron beams emitted from cathodes are focused in first cross-over and accelerated and controlled by grids along three axes arranged in-line. The controlled electron beams are weakly converged by unipotential lenses and are converged in a vertical plane by a common single electron lens having a lens power which is varied in accordance with a horizontal or vertical deflection of the electron beams. The converged electron beams form second cross-over on the axes which are shifted along the axes are diverged from the second cross-overs. The diverged electron beams are further focused and converged onto a screen by a main lens.

    摘要: An electron gun for color-picture tube device comprises a final accelerating electrode and a focusing electrode divided into plural electrode units in the axial direction of the tube. A first focusing electrode unit adjacent to the final accelerating electrode is connected to a second focusing electrode unit adjacent to the first focusing electrode unit through a resistor. A focusing voltage being change in synchronous with the deflection of an electron beam is applied to the first focusing electrode unit. The resistor is used for removing the a.c. components from the focusing voltage. Then, the removed focusing voltage is applied to the second focusing electrode. For the electron beam deflected on the peripheral part of the screen, a quadrupole lens is formed. On the first focusing electrode unit side opposite to the second focusing electrode unit are formed first electron beam path holes whose major axes extend horizontally. On the second focusing electrode unit side opposite to the first focusing electrode unit are formed second electron beam path holes whose major axes extend vertically. As a result, the quadrupole lens serves to suppress a halo portion.

    摘要: A color picture tube apparatus comprises an envelope including a funnel, a face plate and a neck, a phosphor screen on an inner surface of the face plate, an electron gun structure in the neck of the envelope for generating at least one electron beam, resistor means for supplying predetermined voltage to the electron gun structure, and deflection means for generating non-uniform deflection magnetic field to deflect the electron beam. The electron gun structure includes a focusing electrode including first means for generating an asymmetric converging electric field near the focusing electrode having a relative strong converging action in one direction compared with the converging action in another direction perpendicular to the one direction, an accelerating electrode including second means for generating an asymmetric diverging electric field near the accelerating electrode having a relative strong diverging action in the one direction compared with the diverging action in the other direction, and at least one intermediate electrode between the focusing electrode and the accelerating electrode for separating the converging electric field from the diverging electric field.

    摘要: In an electron gun assembly, three electron beams emitted from cathodes are passed through an electrode arrangement in which two intermediate electrodes are arranged between focusing are accelerating electrodes. A focusing voltage which is varied depending on an deflection of the electron beam is applied to the focusing electrode and an accelerating voltage is applied to the accelerating electrode. A resistor is connected between the accelerating electrode and the earth through a variable resistor and intermediate points of the resistor are connected to the intermediate electrodes. Thus, convergent and divergent lenses are formed between the focusing electrode and the intermediate electrode and between the accelerating electrode and the intermediate electrode. The lens powers of the convergent and divergent lenses are varied in accordance with the adjustment of the variable resistor.
