    摘要: A user interface system having an improved usability is provided. The user interface system comprises: an operation section (21) an operation section for receiving an instruction inputted by a user; a finger position detecting section (32) for detecting a group of first coordinate values, each indicating a current position of a fingertip, of a user, which is placed on an operation surface of the operation section; a component storing section (4) for storing component data representing a GUI (Graphical User Interface) component; an assignment section (34) for uniquely assigning the component data stored in the component storing section to each of the first coordinate values detected by the finger position detecting section (32); an image generating section (35) for generating a GUI image representing a user interface in which the GUI component represented by the component data stored in the component storing section (4) is uniquely associated with each of the first coordinate values detected by the finger position detecting section (32), in accordance with an assignment performed by the assignment section; and a display controlling section (36) for displaying the GUI image generated by the image generating section (35) on a display screen.

    摘要: Character information recognition means extracts, through a character recognition process, character information from a selection button included in an index image. Based on text data having been outputted from the character information recognition means, index dictionary creation means creates an index dictionary usable for a speech recognition process performed by speech recognition means. The speech recognition means performs the speech recognition process by using speech data retrieved through an ADC and the index dictionary stored in storage means. Based on a result of the speech recognition process performed by the speech recognition means, reproduction control means performs reproduction control of a chapter. Thus, a desired button can be selected by speech, from chapter selection buttons displayed on a chapter selection image of a DVD video.

Based on text data having been outputted from the character information recognition means (101), index dictionary creation means (102) creates an index dictionary usable for a speech recognition process performed by speech recognition means (104). The speech recognition means (104) performs the speech recognition process by using speech data (D1) retrieved through an ADC (7) and the index dictionary stored in storage means (107). Based on a result of the speech recognition process performed by the speech recognition means (104), reproduction control means (105) performs reproduction control of a chapter. Thus, a desired button can be selected by speech, from chapter selection buttons displayed on a chapter selection image of a DVD video.

    摘要: An operation touch pad (4) is disposed near the hand of a user. On a display (2), there is displayed one or more GUI parts (3) for the user to input a desired instruction or information. When the user touches the touch pad (4) by a hand (6) so as to select the GUI parts (3), the touch pad (4) outputs contact position data indicating the area of contact with the hand (6). An image (7) of a hand shape model is generated from the contact position data outputted from the touch pad (4) and is displayed on the display (2). In view of the image (7) displayed on the display (2), the user moves the hand (6) so that the finger tip of the model may come to over the desired GUI parts (3), and then pushes the touch pad (4).

    摘要: A rhythm input section converts a rhythm pattern input by the user to an electrical signal, which is in turn output. A rhythm dictionary storage section stores a rhythm dictionary table which associates the contents of a control of an apparatus with a registered rhythm pattern. The registered rhythm pattern is obtained by typifying a pronunciation pattern of a name indicating the contents of the control. A control section analyzes the electrical signal from the rhythm input section to recognize the input rhythm pattern input by the user, recognizes the contents of a corresponding control by referencing the rhythm dictionary storage section, and controls an operation of an in-vehicle apparatus.
