This portable electronic apparatus includes a display unit, the operation unit and a controller. The display unit displays information received or stored. The one operation unit is used for operations including moving of a pointer displayed on the display unit, the zooming and the scrolling of the information displayed on the display unit, the moving of the cursor and the selection of the icon. The controller executes the operations in response to operation of the operation unit.

摘要： Relating to a track ball device for manipulating a cursor moving on a display screen of an electronic apparatus, a track ball device being manipulated precisely while generating a click feel when a ball is rotated, having a small play angle and small size is presented. Beneath the center of the ball, the ball is rotatably supported by four rollers. The section of a contacting portion of the rollers contacting with the ball is a circular sawtooth profile, and the directions of the sawtooth serrations of opposite rollers are reverse to each other. Rollers 2 to 5 have switches as rotation amount detecting units. Further, X roller and Y roller contacting with the outer circumference in the orthogonal direction as seen from above the ball, and third roller hold the ball rotatably. Plural undulations are formed on the outer circumference of large-diameter contacting portions of the X roller and Y roller 3 of circular shaft shape. Rotary encoders are coupled to individual rollers.

摘要： A touch type input device is used for various forms of control. A primary side line is connected to a power source, and a secondary side circuit ground through a power transformer are connected by an impedance element. Flat electrodes to be touched by a finger are formed on one side of an insulating base material, and are connected to a ground current detection circuit through a high resistor and a low pass filter. A control circuit for converting the output of the ground current detection circuit into a control signal for an electronic appliance, and a display unit are provided. Therefore, an input device having plural touch switches disposed on a base material in a free shape and layout can be obtained.

摘要： An input apparatus includes a case, an operation body stored rotatably in the case, a magnetic body fixed to the operation body, a magnet provided around the operation body, a magnetic detection element for detecting a magnetic flux from the magnetic body, and a frame for retaining the case. The magnetic detection element faces the operation body with a predetermined space therebetween. The frame includes depression sections for causing the magnetic detection element to elastically contact the lower surface of the case. This input apparatus can accurately detect a rotation angle.

摘要： An electric conductive film is formed on the insulating surface of a substrate, the substrate having a trench formed on the insulating surface, and the conductive film being filled in the trench. Chemical mechanical polishing is executed to expose the insulating surface of the substrate and leave a portion of the conductive film in the trench. The surface of the substrate having the exposed conductive film in the trench and the exposed insulating surface is exposed to first liquid. After being exposed to the first liquid, the surface of the substrate is exposed to second liquid. The first liquid is either solution which contains at least one first substance selected from a first group consisting of benzotriazole, derivative of benzotriazole and interfacial active agent, or water. The second solution is solution which contains the first substance at a density higher than a density of the first liquid.

摘要： A regulating apparatus having an output node and being operative for regulating the voltage level at the output node in response to a reference signal provided as an input to the regulating apparatus. The regulating apparatus includes a linear amplifier stage operative for receiving the reference signal and being capable of sourcing current to the output node when the reference signal indicates that a present voltage level at the output node is less than a desired voltage level at the output node. The regulating apparatus also includes a switching regulator, which is controlled by the linear amplifier stage, and which is operative for sourcing current to the output node when the amount of current being sourced to the output node by the linear amplifier stage exceeds a predetermined threshold.
