摘要： An ink for ink-jet recording may contain a coloring agent and a marker. The coloring agent may contain a pigment. The marker may have a detector absorption peak for detecting the marker at a wavelength that is different from a wavelength of the maximum absorption peak of the coloring agent. The coloring agent and the marker may be contained in the ink in amounts that satisfy the following conditions (I) to (III): (I) about 1.2≦A2/A3; (II) color difference (ΔE)≦about 3; and (III) about 1≦A2≦about 10 in terms of a measurement optical path length of 1 mm, where A2 denotes an absorbance at the wavelength of the detector absorption peak of the marker, A3 denotes a baseline absorbance at the wavelength of the detector absorption peak of the marker.

摘要： A water base pigment ink for ink-jet recording contains a pigment, water, and at least one of polyethylene glycol and diglycerol. The ink is solidified into a solid matter when the water is evaporated. Further, the solid matter is redissolved in the unsolidified water base pigment ink for ink-jet recording. When the ink is used, then neither clog-up of a nozzle nor discharge failure is caused, no load is imposed by the solidified ink on the maintenance system such as the wiping equipment, and the sticking performance on the paper is satisfactory.

The anionic surfactant is a surfactant represented by the formula (1) and/or a surfactant represented by the formula (2). The nonionic surfactant is a surfactant represented by the formula (3) or a mixture of a surfactant represented by the formula (4) and a surfactant represented by the formula (5). No ink discharge failure occurs, the long term stability is excellent, and it is possible to obtain a high quality image without any feathering.
