    摘要: There is provided mechanisms for rotational movement triggered candidate beam updating at a terminal device. A method is performed by the terminal device. The method comprises performing beamformed communication, in a first beam having a first pointing direction, with a transmission and reception point. The method comprises detecting that the terminal device is subjected to a rotational movement. The rotational movement causes the first beam to change its pointing direction. The method comprises updating, upon having detected that the terminal device is subjected to the rotational movement, a candidate set of second beams to be used for beam training. The candidate set of second beams, upon having been updated, comprises at least one second beam having a predefined pointing direction.

    摘要: There is provided mechanisms for polarized reception of reference signals. A method is performed by a terminal device. The terminal device is equipped with an antenna array having dual-polarized antenna elements. The antenna array is connected to a baseband chain in the terminal device. The method comprises receiving, during a beam management procedure with a TRP, two reference signals transmitted in one OFDM symbol each from the same TRP port within a slot. The two reference signals are received using a filter with a first polarization for a first of the two reference signals and with a second polarization for a second of the two reference signals. The second polarization is orthogonal to the first polarization.

    摘要: Systems and methods for beam selection for communication with a Transmit/Receive Point (TRP) are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device for beam selection for communication with a TRP includes: determining how the TRP changes a polarization state for a series of Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) bursts; sweeping through candidate Receive (RX) beams during SSB reception using an order based on how the TRP changes the polarization state; and combining channel measurements from sweeping through the candidate RX beams to determine a target RX beam of the candidate RX beams. In this way, wireless device beam selection can be improved which will improve Downlink (DL) performance. In case the wireless device has beam correspondence, the wireless device RX beam is also likely to be used as the Uplink (UL) Transmit (TX) beam, and in that case UL performance will also be improved.
