The method comprises performing beamformed communication, in a first beam having a first pointing direction, with a transmission and reception point. The method comprises detecting that the terminal device is subjected to a rotational movement. The rotational movement causes the first beam to change its pointing direction. The method comprises updating, upon having detected that the terminal device is subjected to the rotational movement, a candidate set of second beams to be used for beam training. The candidate set of second beams, upon having been updated, comprises at least one second beam having a predefined pointing direction.

摘要: There is provided mechanisms for polarized reception of reference signals. A method is performed by a terminal device. The terminal device is equipped with an antenna array having dual-polarized antenna elements. The antenna array is connected to a baseband chain in the terminal device. The method comprises receiving, during a beam management procedure with a TRP, two reference signals transmitted in one OFDM symbol each from the same TRP port within a slot. The two reference signals are received using a filter with a first polarization for a first of the two reference signals and with a second polarization for a second of the two reference signals. The second polarization is orthogonal to the first polarization.

摘要: A method for receive (RX) beam switching is provided. The method may be performed by a user equipment (UE) (420). The method includes using a current RX beam (412) to receive a transmission from a network node (422). The method further includes selecting (706) a new RX beam (414) to replace the current RX beam (412). The method further includes, after selecting (706) the new RX beam (414), transmitting (708-710) a channel state information (CSI) report to the network node (422). The method further includes, after selecting (706) the new RX beam (414) and before transmitting (708-710) the CSI report, continuing to use the current RX beam (412) to receive transmissions from the network node (422). The method further includes, after transmitting (708-710) the CSI report to the network node (422), replacing (714) the current RX beam (412) with the new RX beam (414) such that the new RX beam (414) instead of the current RX beam (412) is used to receive transmissions from the network node.

摘要: There is provided mechanisms for beam selection. A method is performed by a first radio transceiver device. The method comprises obtaining link quality estimates of a radio signal conveyed to the first radio transceiver device from a second radio transceiver device by means of at least a first beam taken from a first beam set and a second beam. The second beam is wider than the first beam. The method comprises selecting which one of the first beam and the second beam to use for continued communications of radio signals with the second radio transceiver device in accordance with a comparison between the link quality estimates of the first beam and compensated link quality estimates of the second beam.

摘要: When a TRP performs a TRP beam sweep for a WD with multiple antenna arrangements and the WD is expected to perform an UL transmission (e.g., the WD has at least a threshold amount of data in its transmit buffer) and UL beam selection is based on DL beam selection, in one embodiment the WD takes the available output power of the different antenna arrangements in to account during RSRP calculations for the different candidate TRP TX beams such that the RSRP from an antenna arrangement that has lower available output power is weighted less compared to the RSRP measured from an antenna arrangement that has higher available output power.

摘要: Systems and methods for beam selection for communication with a Transmit/Receive Point (TRP) are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device for beam selection for communication with a TRP includes: determining how the TRP changes a polarization state for a series of Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) bursts; sweeping through candidate Receive (RX) beams during SSB reception using an order based on how the TRP changes the polarization state; and combining channel measurements from sweeping through the candidate RX beams to determine a target RX beam of the candidate RX beams. In this way, wireless device beam selection can be improved which will improve Downlink (DL) performance. In case the wireless device has beam correspondence, the wireless device RX beam is also likely to be used as the Uplink (UL) Transmit (TX) beam, and in that case UL performance will also be improved.
