The wireless device (120) and a radio network node (110) operate in the wireless communications network (100). The wireless device (120) receives, from the radio network node (110), a first signal that is specific for the wireless device (120). In response to that a certain time has elapsed since a latest receipt of the first signal, the wireless device (120) initiates a procedure for re-establishing a capability of communication between the wireless device (120) and the radio network node (110) using a beam pair.

摘要: A network node (100), a wireless terminal (102) and methods therein, for supporting beam tracking in the wireless terminal (102) when a selected network beam (Bc) and a selected terminal beam (Tc) are used. The network node (100) identifies a set of candidate network beams (B) having spatial characteristics similar to the selected network beam (Bc), and signals the candidate network beams to the wireless terminal (102). When the network node (100) transmits beam reference signals in the candidate network beams using beam sweeping, the wireless terminal (102) measures received power using different candidate terminal beams (T) and estimates received power of combinations of beam reference signal and candidate terminal beam that have not been measured, based on the measured combinations of beam reference signal and candidate terminal beam.

摘要: A Network Node (NN) 208 and a method therein for beam selection. When an upcoming ability to serve a Wireless Device (WD) 210 using a current NN beam is predicted to be lost based on historic data, the NN selects an upcoming NN beam out of one or more candidate NN beams that are able to serve the WD when the NN has lost ability to serve the WD using the current NN beam. The NN configures a dedicated Beam Reference Signal (BRS) for the upcoming NN beam, which is to be detected in beam selection by the WD when the NN loses ability to serve the wireless device using the current NN beam. By means of the current NN beam, the NN transmits, to the WD, a configuration of the dedicated BRS. Further, by means of the upcoming NN beam, the NN transmits, to the WD, the dedicated BRS.

The correction value is based on a decoding success of one or more previous transmissions, which one or more previous transmissions are based on an obtained previous indication of a previous channel quality from the second communication device, and wherein a change of the correction value relative a previous correction value is limited.

摘要: Independent power-control procedures per beam-pair link (BPL). In one embodiment, such a power-control procedure comprises: 1) an open-loop part based on the estimated DL path loss for the active and back-up (or “non-active”) BPLs in the UE and 2) a closed-loop part where the UL power-control adjustment commands are transmitted from the network and accumulated in the UE independently per active BPL. The UL transmit power is determined from the power-control procedure associated with the active BPL scheduled for transmission.

摘要: According to certain embodiments, a method by a radio node (110, 115) operating in multiple modes for power detection includes operating in a first mode. While operating in the first mode power levels of transmissions on a channel are compared to a first threshold to determine whether the channel is free. While operating the radio node (110, 115) in the first mode, power levels within a specified range are detected during a first time period. In response to detecting the power levels within the specified range during the first time period, the radio node (110, 115) is switched to a second mode that is a duty-cycle mode. While operating the radio node (110, 115) in the second mode, the power levels of the transmissions on the channel are compared to a second threshold during a first portion of a duty cycle and to a third threshold during a second portion of the duty cycle to determine whether the channel is free. The third threshold is different from the second threshold. In response to determining that the channel is free, transmission is initiated on the channel.

摘要: A method performed by a wireless device for handling two or more beamformed communication links initialized with one or more network nodes in a wireless communications network is provided. The wireless device determines at least one compatibility state for the two or more beamformed communication links based on one or more current radio signal characteristics at the wireless device for the two or more beamformed communication links, wherein the at least one compatibility state indicates if the wireless device currently is able to simultaneously receive transmission beams of the two or more beamformed communication links or not. The wireless device transmits information indicating the at least one determined compatibility state for the two or more beamformed communication links to at least one of the one or more network nodes. A wireless device as well as a network node and method of operation thereof are also disclosed.
