摘要: A method performed by a UE for obtaining positioning assistance data from a location server, wherein the UE and the location server are operating in a wireless communications network. The UE receives a system information broadcast from a radio network node. The UE further transmits a request for positioning assistance data to the location server in case the UE does not obtain the needed positioning assistance data via the radio network node broadcast system information. The UE further obtains carrier and/or RAT information used for the positioning assistance data broadcast. The UE further reselects or is redirected to the carrier and/or RAT used for the positioning assistance data broadcast.

摘要: Methods of operating a DU node of a radio access network are disclosed. The DU node is coupled to a CU node over an F1 interface, and the DU node performs a setup procedure with the CU node over the F1 interface for an RRC connection with respect to a wireless device UE. A setup request message is transmitted to the CU node, wherein the setup request message includes an indication of a latest RRC version supported by the DU node. A setup response message is received from the CU node, wherein this message includes an indication of an RRC version supported by the CU node and by the UE. An RRC connection is established with the UE using the RRC version indicated in the setup response message. Related methods of operating a CU node are also discussed.

摘要: A method for selecting one or more secondary cells, SCells for supporting communication with a user equipment, UE, by carrier aggregation, CA. The one or more SCells is/are selected from a set of SCell candidates available for an access node. The method includes estimating a probability that the UE connected to a primary cell, PCell, of the access node is in coverage of an SCell in the set of candidates, predicting available resources for the SCell, calculating a CA value for the SCell based on the estimated probability, an estimated spectral efficiency and the predicted available resources, and calculating a CA value for each SCell of the set of SCell candidates, ranking the SCells of the set of SCell candidates based on their calculated CA values, and selecting one or more SCells for providing CA with the UE based on the ranking.

摘要: A wireless device and a method therein for receiving positioning system information from a radio network node. The wireless device and the radio network node operate in a wireless communications network. The wireless device receives positioning system information broadcast scheduling information comprising information about positioning System Information Blocks that are comprised in a System Information message. Further, the wireless device receives an indication that a pSIB is segmented into pSIB segments. Based on the indication and on the pSI the wireless device determines whether or not the pSIB segments are scheduled via contiguous scheduling. When the pSIB segments are determined to be scheduled via contiguous scheduling, the wireless device monitors scheduled resources, retrieves the contiguously scheduled pSIB segments and decodes position system information of the retrieved pSIB segments.

The target cell includes processing circuitry configured to: determine to configure the source cell as a downlink carrier aggregation secondary cell, DL CA SCell, for the wireless device, and cause transmission of an indication to the source cell to at least one of: temporarily retain, after the handover, at least a portion of information specific to the wireless device; and transmit the at least the portion of information specific to the wireless device to the target cell. The indication is based at least in part on the determination.
