    摘要: A method for adjusting a gain level for a receiver of a first radio simultaneously operational with a transmitter of a second radio, comprising: determining a signal-to-noise ratio (“SNR”) value for signals received by the receiver from an access point (“AP”); and, when the first radio is associated with the AP and the transmitter is not transmitting, if the SNR value exceeds a SNR threshold, reducing the gain level for the receiver from an initial level and initiating transmission from the transmitter, otherwise maintaining the gain level for the receiver at the initial level and initiating transmission from the transmitter; wherein the SNR threshold is a SNR value above which beacon signals from the AP can be successfully received by the receiver.

    摘要: A source device has a wireless communication interface. Through the wireless communication interface, the source device establishes a communication session over a wireless medium with a sink device and determines a maximum capacity of a buffer at the sink device for receipt of audio samples to be transmitted in packets from the source device to the sink device in an asynchronous connectionless link over the wireless medium. Scheduling access to the wireless medium by the wireless communication interface for transmission of audio samples on the link takes into account the maximum capacity of the buffer.

    摘要: A mobile communication device is able to communicate with wireless local area network and with a cellular network. A communication system is able to route a communication session between the mobile communication device and another communication device either by way of the wireless local area network or the cellular network. The communication system is able to trigger the mobile communication device via the cellular network to search for and attempt to connect to the wireless local area network. The mobile communication device, in response to reception of signaling via the cellular network, is able to activate a wireless local area network interface of the mobile communication device and to establish a connection to the wireless local area network.

    摘要: Intra-enterprise wireless handset (WH) calls between WHs operating in a wireless local area network (WLAN) are established directly between the WHs via a call connection that is maintained within the LAN without being routed through the cellular network (CN). This eliminates the cost of placing and maintaining calls through the CN for intra-enterprise calls, and also enables use of capabilities that are available in the enterprise telecomm equipment. Upon detection of a trigger condition, if and when it is more likely that a complete vertical handover (VHO) may be needed, the call connection between the WHs in the LAN is replaced by one that is routed through the CN. Thereafter, a VHO may occur (if at all) upon detection of a radio handover condition.
