    摘要： Disclosed is a novel methine compound, for example, which is represented by the following formula (I): wherein R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 each represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent; X represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, or N—R6; Z represents —NR7R8, or —OG; R6, R7 and R8 each represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent; G represents a hydrogen atom, a cation or a substituent; L1, L2 and L3 each represents a substituted or unsubstituted methine group; n represents 1 or 2; and W represents an electron attractive group. Also, a material for organic luminescence element is disclosed which is a compound represented by the following formula (II): wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 each represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent; R9 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent other than a methyl group; X represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, or N—R10, wherein R10 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent; Z1 represents an atomic group necessary for forming a 5- or 6-membered ring; L1 and L2 each represents a substituted or unsubstituted methine group; and n represents 1 or 2.

    摘要： A light-emitting element having excellent light-emitting properties and with which it is possible to emit blue light at a high luminance for a long period of time, and an iridium complex for realizing the same. The light-emitting element has an external quantum efficiency of at least 5% and a light emission maximum wavelength λ max of no more than 500 nm. Further, there is provided a light-emitting element including a light-emitting layer or a plurality of organic compound layers having the light-emitting layer, with at least one of the compound layers including at least one kind of a compound having a partial structure represented by the general formula K-0. In the general formula K-0, R1 to R7 each independently represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent, provided that if R2 is a fluorine atom, R3 is not a hydrogen atom.

    摘要： The present invention provides an organic light-emitting device material such as electron-transporting material and light-emitting material capable of emitting light having a high luminance and color purity. A novel organic light-emitting material is provided comprising a compound having a partial structure represented by the following general formula (I): wherein R11 and R12 each represent a hydrogen atom or substituent, with the proviso that R11 and R12 are not bonded to form a benzo condensed ring; X1 represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, a substituted or unsubstituted nitrogen atom or —C(R13)R14—; R13 and R14 each represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent; Y1 represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or a substituted or unsubstituted nitrogen atom; M1 represents a metal ion or a hydrogen atom; and Z1 represents an atomic group required to form a 5- or 6-membered ring.
