    摘要: To allow AV data created after the start of recording until the end of recoding to be easily continuously recorded and reproduced for a long time as a file. A stream of which AV data have been multiplexed is recorded to a file in the unit of a packet. When the file size exceeds 2 GB with the next packet that is recorded, record control is performed such that the time of the last end of audio data of the current file matches the time of the beginning of audio data of the next file to which the stream is recorded, the current file is closed, and seamless connection that denotes that the closed file and the next file to which the stream is recorded are connected such that audio data do not overlap is set. A file is newly created and the stream is continuously recorded thereto. The recording of the file is stopped according to a stop operation. When the recording is performed for a long time, a file is automatically divided. Upon reproducing, files in which the stream has been recorded for a long time can be continuously reproduced without causing the user to recognize the division of the file.

    摘要: Management information for video data and audio data that are created after their recording is started until it is stopped and that are recorded as a stream file on a record medium is more securely stored. When their recording is started, EP entry information contained in management information of the stream file is created. Whenever EP entry information is created, it is written to a nonvolatile memory. After their recording is stopped, fixed value information and so forth that are contained in the management information are created and written to the nonvolatile memory. According to a disc eject operation, the management information written to the nonvolatile memory is written to the disc and the contents stored in the nonvolatile memory are cleared. Likewise, when power is turned off without the eject operation, information stored in the nonvolatile memory is written to the disc. Since the management information is stored in the nonvolatile memory, even if power is unexpectedly turned off, the management information will not be lost.

    摘要: Recording of video data is enabled by a management structure of a clip which is compatible with a BD-ROM standard. In accordance with the recording starting operation, the recording of a stream in which the video data and audio data have time-divisionally been multiplexed on a packet unit basis onto a recording medium is started. In accordance with the recording stopping operation, the stream stored in a buffer is written as a stream file onto the recording medium and a clip information file corresponding to the stream file is formed. A play item showing the whole clip information file is formed and added to the existing play list on the recording medium. A mark is stamped to the play list at time corresponding to an IN point of the play item. Subsequently, the play item which is formed in association with the recording start and stop is similarly further added to the existing play list and the mark is further stamped at the time corresponding to the IN point.

Additional recording is performed by writing packets from a logical sector immediately after a recorded area (including the reserved area), and AVDP is recorded into two places having the last logical sector number N of a packet structure and a logical sector number less than 256 sectors from N, and thus additional recording in compliance with the UDF is possible after that. At the time of finalization, AVDP is recorded in the 256th logical sector, a surplus area in the reserved area is subjected to padding to ensure wide compatibility with playback-only apparatuses.

    摘要: Recording of video data is enabled by a management structure of a clip which is compatible with a BD-ROM standard. In accordance with the recording starting operation, the recording of a stream in which the video data and audio data have time-divisionally been multiplexed on a packet unit basis onto a recording medium is started. In an information processing device that executes recording of data onto a disc, such as a video camera, a process of identifying which one of the following discs a loaded disc is, that is, whether the loaded disc is (a) an unrecorded blank disc, (b) a pre-formatted disc to which a padding process has been applied, or (c) an already-recorded disc, is executed as a process of recognizing the loaded disc. With this configuration, a padding process that needs to be executed during a formatting process or finalizing process in conventional devices becomes unnecessary, thus enabling quick processing without making the user wait during the start of recording or finalizing process.
