摘要： A decanter type centrifugal separator capable of discharging sludge directly from a portion of the sludge with least moisture content in a bowl so as to lower a moisture content and increase a separation efficiency, wherein a screw conveyor rotated with a difference in speed provided relative to the bowl is stored in the bowl rotated at a high speed, a dewatering cake discharge route (20) is provided in one end wall (2) of the bowl, an opening (20a) of the route into the bowl is provided near the inner peripheral wall of the bowl, the discharge route provides a restriction effect to the discharge of the dewatering cake, and a sedimentary layer with thick sedimentation layer is formed near the opening, whereby that portion only of the cake is discharged through the discharge route under head press of the sedimentation layer, that portion receiving the highest consolidation effect by the head press of a centrifugal force acting on the sediment, among the sedimentation layers accumulated at one end of the bowl.

The tubular member has end faces in the axial direction and a circumference defining a circumferential direction. Each restricting member has a restricting surface abuttable with each end face of the tubular member to restrict the tubular member from moving in the axial direction, each restricting surface having a specific area continuously applied with a lubricant upon completion of assembly of the fixing device, the specific area having an arcuate shape extending in the circumferential direction and having a width at least equal to a thickness of the tubular member in the radial direction.

摘要： In a fixing device for thermally fixing a developer image transferred onto a recording sheet, a nip plate is disposed on an inner surface of a tubular flexible fusing member which is flexibly deformable in such a manner that permits the fusing member to slide along the nip plate, and configured to be heated by a heating element disposed inside the fusing member. The fusing member is nipped between the nip plate and a backup member to form a nip portion between the fusing member and the backup member. The nip plate is bent to form a recessed portion which opens on the inner surface of the fusing member and holds a lubricant.

The second feed roller is rotatably supported by the cover and movable along with the cover to yield the first opening to the waste toner container when the cover is in the open position.

摘要： There is provided a fixing device for thermally fixing a developing agent image to a sheet. The fixing device includes a tubular flexible member, a heater, a nip member, a reflection plate, a backup member, a stay and a temperature sensor. The flexible member has an inner peripheral surface defining an internal space. The heater is disposed in the internal space and is configured to generate a radiant heat. The nip member is disposed in the internal space, the inner peripheral surface being in sliding contact with the nip member. The reflection plate is configured to reflect the radiant heat from the heater toward the nip member, the reflection plate having an outer profile. The backup member is configured to provide a nip region in cooperation with the nip member for nipping the flexible member between the backup member and the nip member. The stay covers the reflection plate and supports the nip member, the stay having a profile in conformance with the outer profile of the reflection plate, and the stay being formed with one of a through-hole and a notch. The temperature sensor is disposed in the internal space and extends through the one of the through-hole and the notch.
