    摘要: A process for the production of a high viscosity index, low viscosity lubricating base oil having a kinematic viscosity of 3.0 to 5.0 mm.sup.2 /s at 100.degree. C., a viscosity index of 120 or more and a pour point of -10.degree. C. or less, while simultaneously producing a high quality fuel oil, which includes using at least one of a heavy gas oil fraction and a light vacuum gas oil fraction as a stock oil that contains about 60% by volmme or more of distillate components within a distillation temperature range of from about 370 to about 480.degree. C. and about 50% by mass or more of saturated hydrocarbons, subjecting the stock oil to hydrocracking in the presence of an amorphous silica alumina catalyst, separating the cracked product into a fuel oil fraction and a lubricating oil fraction by atmospheric distillation, and subsequently subjecting the lubricating oil fraction to dewaxing, optionally applying at least one of solvent refining and hydrofinishing.

    摘要: A process cartridge comprises a photosensitive drum, a developing roller, and a coupling member. The coupling member is capable of inclining relative to the photosensitive drum such that the coupling axis inclines relative to the drum axis. A regulating portion surrounds the coupling member so as to confine the range of inclination of the coupling member. The regulating portion is provided with a recess that recesses in a direction away from the drum axis and away from the developing roller. An angle between the coupling axis and the drum axis is larger when at least a part of the coupling member is in the recess than when the coupling member contacts another portion of the regulating portion.

Content information is recorded in units of an access block each including a succession of frames into the data area (22). The leading frame of the access block is taken as a base point of decoding. In the header area (21), there are recorded recording-position information for each access block and output-time information for the leading frame of each access block. At the top of the access block, there are recorded recording-position and output-time information for frames other than the leading frame. Thus, skip reproduction can be done by reading the recording-position and output-time information in the access block into a memory.

    摘要: A novel optically anisotropic pitch is provided which is produced by thermal modification of a polymer having a structure of an alkylbenzene and a condensed aromatic compound with two to four fused rings bonded to each other via a methylene group.In preferred embodiments, the optical anisotropy is 80% or more. As the alkylbenzene there may be used xylene, trimethylbenzene or tetramethylbenzene. As the condensed aromatic compound with two to four fused rings, there may be used naphthalene, anthracene, phenanthrene, or naphthacene. The polymer starting material may be obtained by the reaction of a xylene formalin resin, mesitylene formalin resin or alkylbenzene and a condensed aromatic compound with two to four fused rings in the presence of a protonic acid as a catalyst.
