    Abstract: A method of manufacturing an absorbent sanitary paper product having a machine direction, a cross-machine direction orthogonal and co-planar thereto, and a Z-direction orthogonal to both the machine- and cross-machine directions is disclosed.     Abstract: A package of absorbent sanitary paper products is disclosed. Each of the absorbent sanitary paper product comprises a through air dried first network of fibers having a basis weight of less than about 95 g/m2, a density of less than 0.30 g/cm3, a total dry tensile strength of less than 8000 gf/in, and a second network of fibers comprising individual fibers adhesively attached with an adhesive thereto. Each fiber of the first network of fibers having a longitudinal axis generally disposed within the plane comprising the machine and cross-machine directions, and each individual fiber of the second network of fibers having a longitudinal axis having a component thereof generally disposed in the Z-direction and an average length at least about 20% greater than fibers comprising the first network of fibers.
