摘要:
Nucleic acid molecules and multimeric proteins capable of binding vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). VEGF traps are disclosed which are therapeutically useful for treating VEGF-associated conditions and diseases, and are specifically designed for local administration to specific organs, tissues, and/or cells.

A human antibody or an antigen-binding fragment which binds human IL-6 receptor (hIL-6R) with a KD of about 500 pM or less and blocks IL-6 activity with an IC50 of 200 pM or less. In preferred embodiments, the antibody the antibody or antigen-binding fragment binds hIL-6R with an affinity at least 2-fold higher relative to its binding monkey IL-6R.

摘要:
Modified human ciliary neurotrophic factor (hCNTF) molecules having reduced antigeniticy relative to non-modified hCNTF molecules are describes, as well as methods for production and methods of use, especially in the treatment of obesity and obesity-related diseases or conditions.
摘要:
A method for engineering and utilizing large DNA vectors to target, via homologous recombination, and modify, in any desirable fashion, endogenous genes and chromosomal loci in eukaryotic cells. These large DNA targeting vectors for eukaryotic cells, termed LTVECs, are derived from fragments of cloned genomic DNA larger than those typically used by other approaches intended to perform homologous targeting in eukaryotic cells. Also provided is a rapid and convenient method of detecting eukaryotic cells in which the LTVEC has correctly targeted and modified the desired endogenous gene(s) or chromosomal locus (loci) as well as the use of these cells to generate organisms bearing the genetic modification.
摘要:
The present invention provides methods of preventing or treating rheumatoid arthritis using a fully human antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof that specifically binds human interleukin-6 receptor (hIL-6R). The methods of the present invention may include administration of a second therapeutic agent, such as one or more of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), a glucocorticoid, a disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD), or a TNF-alpha antagonist, T-cell blocker, anti-CD20 antibody, an IL-1, JAK or IL-17 antagonist, or any combination thereof.

Methods of using interleukin-1 (IL-1) antagonists to prevent or treat restenosis and other neointimal hyperplasia conditions, including atherosclerosis, vascular access dysfunction, hypertension and related vascular diseases are provided.
摘要:
Polypeptides and multimeric polypeptides capable of binding interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interluekin-13 (IL-13) which are useful therapeutically in methods of treating IL-4 and IL-13-related conditions or diseases.
