Disclosed is a method for producing surface-modified fillers by spray-drying an aqueous suspension of a filler that consists of fine particles, whereby 0.1 to 50 wt. % (calculated as dry substance), preferably 0.3 up to less than 1 wt %, of an aqueous dispersion of a thermoplastic polymer or copolymer or a caoutchouc are added. Said fillers have improved bulk material stability and improved pourability.
